We sat at the bar on arrival and discovered there we no happy hour discounts. Undeterred, I ordered a glass of Serengeti Wheat Ale from Mac and Jack’s Brewing Co., an American style Hefeweizen while my wife chose a glass of 14 Hands merlot. On the second round we went to 28 Hands (14 Hands x 2). Shortly thereafter the bartender told us we better grab a table now if we still planned dinner because they were filling up. My wife chose the King, a.k.a. Chinook, salmon, medium rare please, with sorrel cream that was accompanied by a baked potato (overdone), salad and grilled asparagus. Her charming companion, a.k.a. me, chose the eponymous seafood stew – prawns, king salmon, and clams in a not too spicy Brazilian coconut broth. Both dinners made us happy.
Nice interior and friendly staff… but the rest disappoints. Start with a menu that looks like it was designed by a six year old, then add food from a dozen countries, none of it done well. Everything was bland and the service is slow so no chance of getting hot sauce or other help beforehand food is cold. Honestly it could be worse and will do in a pinch.
