  Horrible Experience. My fiance and I went for dinner at Stoudt’s one night to try the food since we were considering having our wedding reception there. The service was so slow and our table was right near where the servers leave the pitchers of water for the tables. My fiance kept noticing that servers would bring half empty pitchers from other tables and dump the left over water into the fresh pitchers so there was a mixture of pitchers that had fresh water with ice and others that had the left overs in it. I was so grossed out when our server picked up one of the pitchers without ice that I had previously seen another server dump his table’s left over water into it that I had to tell our server not to pour it into my glass. My fiance told her that we do not want anymore water served to our table. (Is it really that hard to go back to the kitchen to get a fresh pitcher of tap water for a table?). My fiance ordered a steak (which is what we heard Stoudt’s is known for) and I ordered a chicken pita. Both of our meals were very disappointing. There was one little square of cheese in my chicken pita which was nothing but a chicken finger wrapped in 4 layers of lettuce. My fiance’s steak had so much fat on it that there wasn’t much meat to it. That was the first time I’ve ever not seen him finish his food at a restaurant.This restaurant was so disappointing and I should have known better by just seeing how dreary the restaurant interior is from my first impression walking into it.

  The restaurant was busy when we arrived we waited 45 mins to get seated, when we were next to be seated hostess sat us in a overly crowded dining room with gaudy furniture to sit in, we did not get water or menu’s until we were seated for 15 mins. We ordered pulled pork sandwiches, the portions were rather small considering it was a 10 dollar sandwich that came with about 10 fries. The sandwich was just average, did not wow me. At least the beer was good. I will not eat there again.

  The food is excellent and the beer brewed onsite is some of the best around. The waitstaff, however, is consistently horrible; slow, rude, and generally unhelpful. The food us good enough to make it worth suffering a crappy server

  Friendly wait staff, good food and a brewery with some tasty beers. Ask what’s on the cask at the moment.
