Bob’s definitely fit the definition of a diner or dive. It appears unappealing from the exterior, as it merely sits in a strip with other stores/shops well off the beaten path. However, once you get passed the looks, you will not be disappointed. I like sitting at the bar in a place like this, which gave me a chance to chat with the cook and the wait staff a bit more than if I had sat at a table. They were all very kind and polite, and very attentive. The food was basic diner fare, but well-prepared. The veggies in my omelet were fresh. And oh my, the omelet was huge…easily 3-4 eggs, and it comes with home fries and toast. This definitely more than enough food for me. If I ever make it back to Pittsburgh, I would drive across town to eat there again.

Wow=great place. I have now visited all Bobs Diners, although I like Carnegie best, this one and the one in Imperial are quaint and food is typical Bob Like-good food for the money and plenty of it. The staff is very efficient and friendly-Bob stops and greets customers and thanks them for visiting-try that in a chain restaurant!!

The one in Kennedy is much better than the one in imperial. Stay away from Imperial horrible. Home fries soggy, greasy mess. Horrible

We are regulars at Bob’s diner. We just returned from a visit to Erie and we stopped at famous Perkins pancake house. My husband ordered his usual sauasage, ham and cheese omlet. We were quite surprised to see the omlet almost half the size of Bob’s with the additional cost. Makes you wonder how a little diner can outbeat a large chain restaurant. Be proud and keep up the good job Bob!
