Always a pleasure and welcomes everyone. We try to frequent The Boulevard a couple times a month.. its friendly atmosphere always makes you feel welcome.. if there is ever a question or problem with an order, it takes nothing more than to bring it to the staffs attention.. they want to have happy and returning customers, which we are!

Paid to much for what we got – lesson learned. My husband and I ate at The Boulevard for the first time tonight. He ordered a Millvale burger which was good but very small in size. His burger took up less than a third of his plate and the rest of the plate was potato chips. He asked for a side other than the french fries and ended up ordering a salad. He was told there was an upcharge and the menu indicated it was $1.50 but our bill said $3.00. I ordered the spaghetti, which was good but nothing great. I did not want a side salad and the waitress suggested the crab bisque soup instead. She did not tell me there was a $3.00 upcharge for the soup. We never thought to just give my salad to my husband and then pay for one additional side and the waitress should have suggested this. This is the first time in more than 20 years that i have been charged for beverage refills which – again – the waitress failed to tell us about. Our bill with tip was nearly $40 for a very unimpressive amount of food. We have learned our lesson and will not be returning. There are too many good places to eat that don’t nickle and dime a person for side dishes and beverages.

Honestly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. We ate at the bar, and bartender was attentive and friendly. As a Shaler resident, I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this neighborhood gem.

Always good. I’m sure that we’ve stopped at Rice’s (Now called the Boulevard) literally a hundred times in the last 4 years of living in the area. They have a great chef and staff. The owner of the place (JT) is incredibly friendly and customer oriented. He knows how to run a business and have a great menu. Although the place is small, they really strive for options- especially with the new outside seating. I don’t usually go into the bar area, but they have some nice karaoke nights and some games in there. They have bar specials and you can get some nice drafts for pretty cheap. The biggest plus is the food. I will literally be sitting at home and start to think about the salads there. They are great, and savory. My husband usually gets the dinners which change daily. We’ve been there for Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day for a nice meal. I wish they had better parking, but you will be satisfied with your choice to go there. Way better food than Thirsty’s Pub, which I do like for games. Better service than the Lounge at times.

A great find!. My S/O and I went to Rice’s Roadhouse based on nothing more than the fact we were looking for some where to eat on a Sunday evening – somewhere with great salads, preferably. We had never heard of it, but when we saw their great menu on their website, we decided to give it a try. We thought it was great. I had the grilled veggie salad and a cup of cream of spinach soup. The soup was creamy and rich, without being to heavy. The salad was fabulous – lots of grilled veggies and bleu cheese on a bed of beautiful lettuce, and even more fresh veggies. Huge too – and served in a deep bowl, making it not difficult to eat (as some large salads on plates tend to be)The S/O had the Ranch Chicken Wrap with fries. The wrap was stuffed with tasty chicken and perfectly cooked bacon, along with picture perfect lettuce and tomato. The fires were cooked extra crunchy – the way we think fries should be. Everything on the menu sounded great and we look forward to returning to try some other meals. It is a fairly extensive menu, with appetizers, sandwiches, salads, entrees – and a great list of desserts on the special board. The atmosphere was really nice – small, cozy dining room with very comfortable booths. The bar area is completely separate, but is also a nice looking room.

Rice’s Road House. Great neighborhood bar and restaurant. Good tavern food at a very reasonable price. Cozy atmosphere, great burger and good soups. Give a try. You’ll like it. Very friendly and good service.
