It was okay. 2/3 of the food we ordered were good. The fried rice though was too salty. I also didn’t appreciate the fact that they put us in the most corner pocket of the cafe.

Out with friends for a week-night dinner, and left cafe io disappointed in their food flavor and cleanliness. Menu combinations are good blend of unique and comfort foods. Good house salad and wine for starters. Server delivered it though on a soiled salad plate and dried food on my silverware – i sent it back to the kitchen. Unfortunately, Crispy fish tacos were definitely fried pieces of fish, but were not crunchy, not served hot (room temperature at best) and lacked seasoning. Accompaniments for the tacos were good, but couldn’t compensate for the yucky, soggy fried fish. I ordered a big bad wolf sandwich to go for those at home to share, as I wasn’t planning to cook once home. Half way through the third bite, my son pulled a 10 inch long straight BLACK hair out of the middle of the melted cheese. Disgusting and unacceptable- will not return!
I took my wife and son here for dinner last Saturday 10/17/2015. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday. We arrived at 6:30 PM and got a table right away. Our server was attentive and read us the specials to us. I had the mushroom swiss burger and it was excellent. It was cooked the way I ordered it. The fries were just regular fries but good. Fresh cut would have been better. My wife ordered Crispy Chicken salad. She enjoyed it very much. My son ordered the open faced turkey and gravy and he loved it.This is a very nice restaurant. It small but since they added the acoustic panels, the noise level has gone down. I would recommend this place to anyone.
NIce cafe with a some really good meals with fresh ingredients and homemade soup. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. There are about 12 interesting beers and some wine available.We visit every once in a while and have never been disappointed. W always gets the Crispy green bean appetizer that comes with a horseradish dipping sauce that is very good. Also, had the Pittsburgh Style Crab Cake sandwich that is one of the better crab cakes in the area. If you are in the mood for some good cafe food Cafe IO is a good choice.
