Good Local Spot. While some customers are incapable of a single nice word in these reviews, I have only good things to say about this place.Entrepreneurial ownership results in occasional gaps and mix-ups. Get over it.If you want a routined staff and stale environment, go to a corporate restaurant.I for one find Clark’s homey feel to emit a charm which no corporate staff could achieve.

Rude bartenders. 10/01/14, 9:15 PM. I get off work and want to catch the Pirates Wildcard game. I walk into J. Clarks at 9:15pm. I’m seated at the bar (it was far from crowded) and after 5 mins of waiting on the brunette curly haired bartender, I was finally able to order a drink. Keep in mind, very few people her on a Tuesday night. She then proceeded with the customer next to me. BS advice on his life or whatever this fool can’t handle on his own as man. KEEP IN MIND, THEIR KITCHEN WAS STILL OPEN (until 10pm) AND IT’S NOW BEEN 15 MINUTES AND I’VE NOT EVEN BEEN OFFERED A MENU YET! Now, we all know that nothing is fresh coming from a kitchen AS THEIR CLOSING. So, needless to say, I’m on a tight time frame here. I left at 9:42pm without food after a long workday. She’s so rude and horrible at her job. But, alas, this is the second time I’ve been ignored there. I haven’t been back since November of 2013 because the bar manager and a waitress ended up fighting over me. Really? How immature is the owner of this chain to allow this to go on? Unless there’s nothing open, AVOID J. CLARKS at all costs.

Lousey.. The hostess/mgr/owner whatever she is, is absolutely horrible I mean terrible. She goes out of her way to be nasty, doesn’t care about the customers at all. She prances around like she’s something special when all she Is, is old and ugly. I’m not sure how else she would keep her job unless she had a hand in ownership. and if she is in charge of wait staff, no wonder why the service sucks. We gave it a second chance and had the same experience. we wont be back,

Great Catering!. We’ve used J Clark’s for catering on many occasions. They always have given us large amounts of fresh, quality food! I’d recommend their catering to anyone!

Great for Elderly or those who lack tastebuds. My first and only visit was yesterday. Boy, what a laughable experience! Aside from the waitress not writing things down and then getting the order wrong, the wait really made you regret your decision to eat here. Fish comes from the ocean and lake but J Clark’s completely removes any evidence of this by completely drying out your food. The total ban in the kitchen of salt, pepper, and garlic is a wise choice for a place that takes forever to prepare your food, as seasoning and spices would only add to the cooking time. The soup, otherwise known as spinach dip was very appealing to start, since you would need the liquid to make up for the overcooked proteins. Overall, I recommend this place to the elderly or those who fear an outstanding food experience.
