Great coffee and a great place to be. Clean with a funky decor. My favorite coffee shop in Pittsburgh by far.
Clam chowder so good I nearly soiled myself!!!!03 Apr, 2013Great little joint!! Delicious soups an apple-buttered mayonnaise sandwiches. Lots of nooks to get romantic or lose oneself in a timeless classic. The staff was great and facial hair friendly!!!!
This coffee shop is unlike anything else in the area. Everything is delicious, the staff is super friendly, and the environment is just what you would want in a coffee shop. In the winter I usually order a latte made with syrups made in house. The flavor selection is great. They have some standard flavors, but also creative ones like peanut butter or maple curry. They may sound odd, but the baristas know what they are doing. They also have a great selection of teas. In the summer, my choice is iced tea. They usually have 3 choices of pre-brewed tea ready to pour over ice.If you are looking for snacks, those will also not disappoint. The fresh stuff comes from a local deli. They also have a great selection of chips and unique sodas. The building seems to be an old house. All of the rooms are available upstairs for use. In one room there is a sofa and foosball table. in other rooms there are takes and chairs of various sizes. The rooms allow for a much homier feel and a bit of privacy unlike the nearby chair coffee shop.Outside they offer seating on the porch and in the grass. There are picnic tables with umbrellas. Dogs are welcome outside, and you can even buy a tasty treaty for your dog inside.Like any good coffee shop they offer free wifi. Unfortunately, some folks abused this service, so now it is limited to 2 hours. That really isn’t too much of a problem though because everything is so addicting you will be buying something else to east our drink in less than 2 hours. The true asset of this place is the staff. They can help you decide or just whip up a great coffee. They are friendly and always remember a face.If you haven’t been here yet, fix that now!
Best coffee in Pittsburgh! Love their brewing methods and the staff is very knowledgeable on all things coffee. Also a good place to relax, watch a random movie, read a book our just hang out with friends.
Best coffee?. I thought it was Big Dog Coffee in southside. It might still be. However, Coffee Buddha is damned good, and their porch is a great place to relax, get some work done, and have some smokes while you enjoy their coffee. My personal favorite is the Malabar Trifecta. As well, you can get pour-overs on occassion, which are delicious.OK *AND* now the PGH Taco Truck is located here on nice days. So add to all the great things about this place some delicious lunch.
Experience a place like no other!. Coffee Buddha is one of the most unique places you will ever find for great coffee and atmosphere. It’s basically what looks like a house converted into a coffee shop with tasteful Buddhist decor that provides a very comfortable setting. Upon entering the front door from the pet-friendly front porch there is a room with seating, lots of books, and a large TV above an aquarium. The room beyond that has a counter with stools and glass cases filled with various treats. There are individual rooms upstairs that are suitable for sitting with a small group of friends, quiet reading, or even meditation. They serve soups from Stoke’s Grill, show movies on Friday nights, and offer chair massages on occasion. Like them on Facebook to see their daily specials and what movie they will be showing.
Omg the maple curry latte is the best! they top it off with a little bit of plum salt…sweet salty and spicy, yum 🙂
