Whoa Downhill!!!. Gave Gators a really good review in the past. Went here again on Saturday… I didn’t even get a drink. Sat at a table for 20 minutes unnoticed. I tried to get the only waitress I saws attention and was ignored. The service has clearly gone downhill. The staff was completely rude when I brought it to their attention! Stay away!!! Or bring back Dana!28 Oct, 2013Love This Place. Went here for drinks and to pick up some food to take home. Sat at the bar where Dana waited on me. She was awesome…. funny, professional, and makes a good drink. Had a couple shots and a few beers. To take home I got the pulled pork sandwich it was awesome and always a favorite of mine the buffalo shrimp. I was not disappointed. Read some really bad reviews on here about the service and had to give props to Dana. She was great. I recommend going on a Thursday when she’s there. Just saying!!! 🙂
Disappointment. Ash wednesday..no meat. Gator’s Grilled cheese!!!! so looking forward to it..ordered to go. basic bottom line…long time before i go back if at all. had a rancid oil taste. could not finish…
Nice place. The Prime Rib and Po Boy are very good. Service is OK/pleasant. Not a fan of the thick cut pizza. The pizza sauce is excellent, but the toppings were scarce. Our pizza crust was cooked too long and the bottom was black as coal.
Place not bad but gators is not a good name for the establishment. They never have gator
Oh yeah…..the bartender cassandra was also more interested in doing shots while she worked……again, where are the owners or manager? ???? SMFH26 Oct, 2013Ordered 10 wimgs on a Saturday afternoon. 2 flavors & both were bad. No sauce, no flavor & the bimbo behind the bar was more interested in talking to the meth head after he got off work in the kitchen than serving us. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Where the management was I have no idea. Bye & good riddance.
Don’t expect a call back!. I was planning a surprise party for my husband and the first place I called was Gators. I thought it would be perfect to host about 30 of our closest friends and family at their sand bar. I called 2 times and left my name for the manager to call me back. I never got a call. I called again and finally spoke to the manager. He said he would email me the menu and call me the next day. The menu was never sent and after 4 days of waiting for a call, I called again. When I did so I was told the manager was on vacation!!! So I asked for the other manager to call me. I didn’t get a call until after I booked with another restaurant. Needless to say this was very frustrating. I’m glad I didn’t book my party with them, I have a feeling the service would’ve been awful.
A Welcome Change. There aren’t a whole lot of restaurant options in this area of the North Hills, so I was excited to hear that Gator’s Grille had opened recently. A group of us checked it out on a Saturday night, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a uniquely decorated and fun new place that we will definitely return to. We started with an appetizer of alligator bites, a neat novelty, which was an interesting dish to try but probably not worth the money to order again. Among the entrees ordered were wings, a portabella sandwich, a french dip sandwich, a grilled chicken mixed greens salad, and a pulled pork sandwich. Everyone immensely enjoyed their entrees, but I have to say the flavorful whole wings stood out as some of the best we’ve ever had! The fries were done my personal favorite way, battered and crunchy. As we were leaving, we saw cars pouring in to enjoy the live music on their patio and the sand bar located adjacent to the parking lot. We’ll definitely be back to check out the other things that Gator’s Grille has to offer.
