The cooks went down hill as of 9/2014. Wings nite and fish Friday suck. They got new cooks as of 9/2014 and they are terrible. The fish is either burnt or under cooked. And if you like buffalo wings stay clear the new cooks don’t cook them long enough and no sause.
Simple. Food-great, servers-hard working, driven, smiley, happy, energetic. Bartenders- some are cool, there is a manager there that is….well snobby is the first word that comes to mind. Dart board- awesome! Smoking room- AWESOME!CROWD—AMAZING!!!!!!!! Love the crowd, love the conversation, energy, and relaxing coolness.
It COULD be great!. Hot Shots COULD get a five-stars rating from me with just a few simple changes. It’s a great little neighborhood place that is kept clean and has plenty of large TVs that mostly display local sports programming. I enjoy frequenting this place on their wing nights, and the wings are excellent. Some of the other menu items that we’ve been tried have been pretty good too, and they serve fresh-cut fries. The wait staff and bartenders are very friendly and helpful, and they work really hard to keep everybody happy, even though they are sometimes overwhelmed by the volume of business and lack of help. Unfortunately, the beer selection is sub-par,(especially the tap selection) and the prices of the bottled beers that are slightly beyond the ordinary yellow junk are ridiculously high. It’s pretty obvious that they need to be nicer to their kitchen staff, as they constantly seem to be advertising for experienced cooks on signs when you walk in the place, and it seems like the waitresses are often called to help out in the kitchen. But if you like your chicken wings crispy, and on the large side, you will like the wings at Hot Shots.

LOVE this place. close to home, great food (they even make their own potato chips!), super attentive staff that makes you feel welcome and has a laugh with you, decent beer specials. getting more craft selection in bottles, but sam adams and blue moon on tap for those less into the light beers. separate smoking room so your meal isnt ruined with cigarette smoke. love this place and all the employees, definitely going to remain a regular.
Always the Best!!. We have been going there for years, great staff , good food with nice prices and loyal customers. We wouldn’t watch a Steeler game anywhere else! 🙂
The BEST!!. This place is incredible! Great food, great drinks, great service, great company! If you don’t like this place there is something seriously wrong with you. The best bartender in the Burgh hands down! Great specials too….get some wings, a burger, and some beers and enjoy!!!!
