Sushi was great, the filet mignon was not so great. Very good atmosphere though and the staff was nice. Unfortunately, we have had better hibachi at other places.

Best sushi in Pittsburgh, and their hibachi is pretty great too (even though there’s no prep show with flaming onion volcanos and slicing and dicing). We started with tuna sashimi. Very tender and rich, beautiful presentation as well. The miso soup and Sansai salad arrived next, which are complimentary with hibachi and special entrees. I’ve never been much for miso soup, but the Sansai salad which is mostly iceberg lettuce with the house ginger dressing was delicious. The ginger dressing would go well on just about anything! For a main entree, I tried the Yakimeshi, a stir fry of rice, carrots, peas, onions, cabbage, shrimp, and chicken. The hibachi and special entered at Little Tokyo are prepared very simply, yet of high quality. So the Yakimeshi was just as listed. No spices. No added flavors other than those occurring naturally with the rice, vegetables, and meats. It was served with shrimp sauce, which I dipped into occasionally. Although, I mainly enjoyed the dish as served. The service was prompt and helpful, and I liked the addition of a placard to the menu with pictures of the more interesting sushi rolls and their descriptions. I didn’t order any tonight, but in the past I’ve had to ask the waitress to describe many rolls. The new placard will make ordering easier in the future. 07/30/15

My favorite sushi spot in Pittsburgh! I always recommend it. The owner is always friendly and so is the staff. Suggestions: American Dream and Discovery roll.

Great sushi, fresh and authentic – the chefs plates are different each time, usually more unique fish. However service can sometimes be slow.

Yummy Sushi!. We love Little Tokyo! Their sushi is fresh and delicious. I’ve not personally tried anything else, but I’ve dined with people who have ordered the hibachi and said it was also tasty. I always start with their house salad- pretty standard but the ginger dressing is yummy. Their signature rolls are well sized and always fresh and flavorful– I like their David roll a lot. If you don’t like to wait, I’d recommend going here a little early, as it does get quite busy as the night goes on.
