My winter sangria & most of our food was wonderful. I also loved the ambiance. The chicken was WAY overcooked, but the glaze made it tolerable. The mashed potatoes were super bland. The service was okay most of the time, but the guys had a hard time getting refills for their beers. If it were closer, I might go back, but it’s not really worth going out of my way.

Great dinner. Loved the food-everything was very good, but I do not understand the 1.50 extra for cocktails-why not just set a price. That being said I look forward to a return visit.
Classy cuisine restaurant with consistently delicious entrees. Pricey. Eclectic menu with excellent service. I ordered cod with sprinkling of shrimp, crab on a bed of spinach. Delicious ! My wife ordered duck breast which I often avoid unless I trust the chef; many cooks overcook duck so it’s dry – not the case with Luma. Moist and juicy. Dessert was a fruit creamcake – light and heavenly. Waitress was attentive. One annoying flaw: the she-crab bisque while flavorful was lukewarm. The cod was skillfully-prepared was also lukewarm. The food stood on the counter too long before serving. With wine, the cost without tip was $80 – a bit pricey, but I will return. The lunch entrees are more reasonably-priced and a pleasant patio is available.Wine is discounted on Wednesdays. The only restaurant that compares to Luma in the South Hills is Bistro 19.
Over priced art for food. This place just has over priced food displayed as art. I enjoy the whole meal for one price. I don, t come from California. I am from Pittsburgh. One and done for me here.
Great Bridal Shower. I hosted a Bridal shower for 36 at Luma on Saturday and the food and service were awesome. My husband and I used to eat there 2-3 times a week when we lived in the area and I wasn’t sure if the quality and service were still up to par. From the very beginning Greg was extremely helpful and responsive. I was worried the venue might be too small, but after he explained how everything would be set up, it was absolutely pefect!! He gave great advice and he was very flexible on the number of guests (which kept fluctuating), and even though we hadn’t reserved the entire restuarant, he was exceptionally accommodating and let us pretty much take over the entire venue. He let us decorate any way we wanted and even helped us hang banners and streamers on the walls. The price was extremely reasonable…under $900 for all of us and he didn’t skimp on the food. The guests were served appetizers, soup/salads and had 5 different entrees to choose from (a huge benefit as the options appealled to the vegans and meat eaters alike). He also served a White Sangria Punch which was very a delicious! Overall, great food, great service and a beautiful venue
The food was very good & our waitress was very nice & attentive. However it is pricey. I would go again for a special occasion as long as I had another Groupon.
