The family and I had mad mex for dinner tonight and I hate to say this, but we were very disappointed to say the least. The Los wingos wrap was lacking in the chicken department, it made me very sad. However, our biggest mistake was ordering the wings. They were dry and shriveled up like they had been sitting in the summer sun (or a heat lamp) There was no sauce AT ALL. All in all, a pretty depressing order of wings for a whopping $13.

Possibly the worst service I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant. I visited on Saturday night and was completely underwhelmed. Our waitress, who will remain nameless so as to not get in trouble, did nothing except bring us some waters and take our order…and it was done incorrectly. Others brought out the margarita and the straws and lemons that she never brought with our drinks. Someone else brought our food, which was without several items. When she asked how everything was, I kindly asked for the missing items and she never brought them. She never acknowledged her several mishaps and mistakes, probably because her section was partially in each half of the restaurant. This place has a negative reputation as is, and management needs to be more present. Probably won’t return to this location. You’re better off going to Chipotle, with better food and less incompetence.

Surprisingly Good!. I’ve heard some good things about the margaritas and some bad things about the food but I still wanted to try Mad Mex for myself. The Mango margarita was a little too tart for my taste. I ordered the Chimichanga and it was VERY flavorful! My boyfriend order the San Francisco Los Wingo and he said they were delicious, well cooked and cripsy…Just the way he likes them. We will definitely be visiting again and I’m sure glad I decided to try it for myself!

Unique Mexican. I used to live directly above Mad Mex when I was going to Pitt so I have been a fan for years. I used to always order take out-the Pickadippa, usually varying the salsas(all of which are delish) and (surprisingly) The San Francisco Wings-which were always a great treat late at night as a student. Being a creature of habit when it comes to Mad Mex, I 9 time out of 10 will order the same thing-Kristy’s Big Sister’s red velvet quesadilla(chicken, zucchini, spinach, cheese, and pico de gallo). It is just so good even after looking over the menu every time i usually just order that!I did order the carnitas quesadilla and it is right up there with the red velvet quesadilla in terms of flavors. The coleslaw served with the carnitas quesadilla added a nice touch. Their margaritas are also very good and are on special late at night. This is always my go to mexican restaurant in Pittsburgh!

This was great, nice steak burrito and a good beer selection to boot! Will definitely be back!
