Someone needs to teach these people what Italian food is suppose to taste like, this place is bland and tasteless . I tried the Stromboli and it consisted mostly of lettuce and tomato and some diced ham , no seasoning or other trace of flavor. While the wedding soup was ok it was served almost cold.
So-So. Chicken Romano is a good dish here. Lasagna is pretty good also. Deep dish pizza was a slap in the face of real deep dish pizza though. Not sure who created this rip off of Deep dish pizza but they should be fired and never allowed to set foot in a commercial kitchen again. I know this is supposed to be an Italian restaurant but in all reality its a pretty watered down one that has very little in the way of Italian legitimacy. Stick to the Chicken Romano, Lasagna or Traditional pizza here and you’ll be satisfied other wise you run the risk of being very disappointed
Batting 100. My family and I love Monte Cellos. We first went due to its location being central to all of us but now it’s a family tradition. Food is always great. We normally get app platters, 4-6 pizzas, and a few salads. Deep dish is foreign to our great city but they have a deep dish that we add pepperoni to and my taste buds explode. Service is just what it needs to be. Friendly, speedy, but unintrusive. I have never seen a manager in the place but feel completely comfortable because we have never needed to speak to one.
