Very busy place by North Park Lake. Got some chicken chili takeout after a long walk at the park. The chili was very good. I would like to try some other items on the menu if possible.
Beautiful view, fun atmosphere, and good drink specials – but only at the bar. For some reason the Happy Hour specials don’t apply to the restaurant which was a surprise for us. Also, the food and service were average at best. Our server was friendly, and she admitted that someone screwed up our order, so our food took much longer to come out than those around us. Another couple was seated, ate a few appetizers, paid, and left in the time we were waiting. Then, when the food finally came out, our burgers were completely over done. I had ordered medium, and my husband had ordered medium rare – but they were both well done instead. The coleslaw as my side was bland, and my husband’s fries were few and soggy. We did mention to the server that our burgers were overcooked, but said we would eat them because we had already waited quite a while and were hungry. Was a bit disappointed that after all that we were not offered any sort of free dessert or given any discount on our check. I know everyone has their bad days, but a free dessert, free drink, or 10% off goes a long way in making things right. Honestly, if we go back, it seems like drinks and apps at the bar area is the way to go.
