HORRIBLE. Everything was cold. The chicken was dark grey on the inside. It may have been a rat. The rice and biscuits were cold and dry. I went through the drive thru so I didn’t notice until I got home. I called and spoke with the manager and he told me that everything is cooked early in the morning (as if that makes it fresh) and put in the cupboard and reheated when customers place orders. This Popeyes should be SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY!
Poor customer service. At lunch today, we stopped at the Popeyes in Monroeville, PA. I was ordering for myself and my parents, The young man at the register kept being distracted by the manager (who looked to be about 16) who was teasing him about a sticker on his back. We ordered 3 number 2 meals. It was $20.19. Fine. When we got the order we had 6 pieces of chicken in 2 baskets, 2 sides, 3 cups and 2 biscuits. When I told Amber, the woman putting together the orders, that the order was wrong, she took the receipt and told me that the order was right and if I wanted anything more I would have to pay more. I told her that the order was wrong and we still needed a side and a biscuit. She again told me that the order was right and if i wanted another side and biscuit I would need to pay for them.. I said that I ordered 3 meals and should have 3 baskets of chicken and the sides that were included with the meal. I didn’t know why they put all 6 oices the chicken in 2 baskets. Amber continued to argue with me. Finally another worker (not the manager-who disapeared) looked at the receipt and said I still was owed a side and a biscuit and proceeded to get them for me.That should have been the end of it but Amber anouncedt to all that I was wrong in the first place and I should have listened to her because she was right all along. She changed her story. I understand that sometimes orders are put together wrong. That is natural but the way she treated me by repeatedly calling me wrong and saying I just wasn’t understanding was condescending and inappropriate. I work in a business where customer service is tops. If these people would had behaved in this manner where I work, they would have been fired on the spot or at the very least put on probation and retrained on how to serve the customer not their ego. There is no Popeyes restaurant near where I live and we were anxious to try it out. This experience gave the whole chain a bad name with me. Needless to say, once I sat down with my food it tasted like dust. A bad experience can affect the whole experience. This same woman had just berated the woman in front of me in the same way over the size of the mashed potato bowl. Sincerely, Mary Lois Phelps
