  Yuck! Based on great reviews I went to Ricci’s what I purchased was one of the fattiest blends of hot sausage in a sandwich that I have ever eaten. The casting was tough and the sauage meat was pure fat. The taste wasn’t bad but ever few chews had to be spit out because I was chomping on fat. Proceed with caution.

  Best Italian Sausage. Still top tasting sausage. Stopped in for a quick sausage sandwich and took some sausage home too!28 Jan, 2013Best Italian Sausage in Pittsburgh. Preparing for Super Bowl Party so stopped by to get sausage. Stopped by at lunch time and also ordered some take out lunch. Stuffed Banana Peppers and Hot Sausage sandwich were great. There are a few tall tables for standing and eating but primarily a take out spot. Friendly staff. Ernie waited on us and was able to answer a few questions. He had pictures on the wall of some local celebrities. He has been on QED cooking with Chris Fennimore.Anyway, great sausage and a good stop for lunch.16 Dec, 2010Best Italian Sausage in Pittsburgh. Love the sausage. They have sausage, meatball and stuffed banana peppers sandwiches. Or Stuffed banana peppers without the bread. Mancini’s bread. Oh so good! Yummmm!!! Buy sausage for parties and make hot sausage sandwiches and spaghetti with sausage.

  Very good catering service. Ricci’s is a quality restaurant, they don’t mess around here. I’ve been to several parties that they have catered and the food is always way better then I expect it to be.

  NOT GOOD!. If you have had a good sausage sandwich and was told it’s Ricci’s, it must have been the peppers, onion, sauce and roll that made the sandwich. I’d consider tossing out the sausage and eat the rest.Try the The sausage by itself though….Not too good. Gristly, overly seasoned with fennel, and not the best of meat. They claim to have cut down the fat. The fat might be better. Do a taste test. e.g. SAUSAGE from Costco’s, Parma, Uncle Charlies, Bob Evans, or how about homemade sausage from MAZZOTA’S on Broadway in West Park , Stowe Twp. ( a few doors from where old Ricci’s used to be when their sausage was good) MUCH BETTER CHOICES. Someone do the test. LET US KNOW WHAT YOU THINK. P.S. The photos are not from Ricci.
