What an awful experience. Waters came after waiting over 20 minutes at the table. The waiters were rude and interrupted us while ordering. The veg sampler was bland. Everything was laden with curry. They were out of most beers on the list. Splitting up the check was a debacle. No thanks.
Not recommended – Worst customer service. The guy who served me was arrogant with no customer service skills. He made my experience with Tamarind Greentree a worst experience.
Creepy Waiter. While the food here is excellent, one of the employees, Vineeth, used my debit card information to find me on Facebook, and has been harassing me via direct message for days. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional, but illegal, and I will not feel comfortable eating here again because of this.
Great for delivery. I ordered Tamarind delivery for a large group lunch. I was extremely happy with both the service and the food. Their catering menu is clear and easy to follow so I knew exactly which items I was purchasing. They labeled the each dish after setting up the food which was very helpful. The food arrived on time and was served warm. I got many compliments for ordering from Tamarind but all credit goes to their delicious food and service. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I am frankly stunned by the positive reviews of this restaurant. My wife ad I ate here last week and were appalled by the quality of the food. The restaurant was full of Indian Americans and we expected the food to be great. My wife’s matar paneer was tofu and tasteless. I had the lamb koorma which was likewise bland and devoid of any spices. I wonder if they cook their dishes differently for Caucasians. I have eaten Indian food all over the country and internationally and undoubtably this was the worst experience I’ve had.
The food is so good! The Assorted Sampler is delicious, the Garlic Naan is full of flavor, & the Shrimp Tikka Masala is amazing! The waiter was very attentive & helpful. Im looking foward to going back again soon!
Tamarind-Horrible food, worst Indian restaurant ever. Tamarind in Greentree, Pittsburgh is the worst Indian Restaurant I have ever eaten in. The quality of food was so poor that we had to throw all the food we had ordered out. I have eaten in many Indian restaurants in the US, and Tamarind is the worst food I have ever tasted.
