So yesterday after we got back into town from going to Warren PA we stopped at #ThaiFoon at #SettlersRidge in #Robinson for #dinner. A friend of ours had been there before and said how great their food was so we thought we would give it a try. The food is AMAZING. Their house fried rice is AWESOME. My hubby had #PadThai and my Mom had a #Udon Noodle Bowl. Their chicken broth is OMG good. Now to the bad part… Our #waitress Alexis (I didn’t know her name till we got home and I looked at the check) was terrible. I asked her if they could make my Mom’s soup with chicken broth rather than #Miso. She said no and looked confused. I asked her if she could check and she said yes and proceeded to stand there. I had to ask her to do it now before we ordered in case my Mom had to change her order. She came back and said yes they could use chicken instead. When our food came she served my husbands entre over my head instead of walking behind me and serving between us. Thankfully nothing spilled or I would have been in the ER. She rarely came back to check on us and when she did you would have thought we were bothering her. At the end of the meal she brought our check and said I didn’t add the second #BubbleTea and that our check would be $4.75 more. I thought to myself well shouldn’t you make sure the check is correct BEFORE you leave it but oh well we gave her our credit card and paid for our dinner. When she came back with the check so we could sign it she dropped it off and my Mother was trying to tell her how great everything was but Alexis ignored the fact that my Mother was speaking and ran off. I was unhappy at that point and we didn’t leave a tip. Tips are NOT mandatory but if we would have gotten half way decent service then Alexis would have gotten a tip. We signed our check and as we were walking out my Mom stopped and told them Manager how great the chicken broth is EVEN after Alexis not giving a crap. We walked out to our car and I look up and Alexis had came out the back door and confronted us about not leaving a tip. YES you read that correctly. She chased us outside. My husband told her we were not happy with her service and its our right NOT to tip. She stood there for 5 minutes or so arguing with my husband, At this point I was on the phone with the manager letting him know that his server chased us out the back door and all he cared about was the fact we didn’t tip. So we went back today and asked for a refund on our meal because of the actions of Alexis and the Owner Teejay got all nasty and told us we were not welcome in his restrauant and told us to get out. So we get kicked out but Alexis gets to keep her job? Not sure how that works since she was in the wrong. And BEFORE everything thinks that we are crappy people for not tipping please asked Kaddie Cadillac Rogowski or Angelin Marte D’Perdomo if we are bad tippers. So if you want good food and crappy service and ownership please visit Thai Foon in Robinson or SAVE yourself money and aggravation and eat somewhere else.
Good Tom Kai! The place has a menu which is simular but a little different than your typical Thai resturant. I also had the crab ragoons and they were just average.
The food at this place is reasonable and good . I have tried the Indonesian chicken fried rice and satay chicken. Service is fine. Can visit again .
Mediocre Thai in a strip mall. Cold, not cozy interior, so/so uninspiring food. When you order a coconut water, they plunk the can down in front of you. It’s not poor, its just ordinary, and a bit too expensive. Pass for something better.
The absolute best! Maybe it’s because Jeff is so attentive and makes you feel so welcomed! The steamed dumplings are what we start with, then a light green salad with mango dressing, ThaiFoon fried rice with the most incredibly delicious sausage and then Basil Curry noodles with chicken! Yum!!!
Not going back. Things have really gone down hill with this restaurant, it used to have really good service , but unfortunately its now just terrible. The lady behind the counter is very impolite and not attentive.. We will never order from here again..
Overall Great Restaurant. Thaifoon has quick service always. Somehow they manage to get my food to me within ten minutes each time I go. The meals are all under $15, so I am alarmed that people on here think that they overpaid. It is very good quality food and I leave pleased every time!I recommend the Pad Thai and the Bubble Tea! The bubble tea here is great, the best I’ve had. I recommend Taro and black tea with strawberry popping bubbles. If you have not tried it and are looking for a nice atmosphere with affordable prices and great, unique entrees, Thaifoon is the place for you. Also, it is conveniently located next to a movie theatre. DInner & a movie for two! Enjoy!
