This place is Legit. Hands down best pancakes and bacon ever. No really, the bacon is crazy good. Came in a Sunday morning, very busy, short wait, friendly service.
Great choices.. Great omelets super thin pancakes. Food comes hot. Coffee refills constantly. Portions are generous. Highly recommend.
Worst ever. Dont waste your time or money . If you knew how the employees are treated and how unreasonable the owner is, you would not want to support this place. The butter and cream that come to your table are reused over and over, just topped off to look fresh. Even the managers are miserable and looking for new jobs. There are so many other good people with breakfast restaurants to support.
Unprofessional and overpriced. The food is decent, however it is way overpriced. What really turned me off of this place is how the owner treats the employees. We were seated in the back room and had a good view of the kitchen and several times when I looked back there I could see the owner angrily telling off a server. I understand when something is done incorrectly they need to be told, but this was unnecessary. I was scared of the guy and I wasn’t the one being yelled at. I do not want my money to support a man so rude and disrespectful to his employees. I will never go back.
Just Awful!. From the moment I arrived at the McIntyre Square Original Pancake House I was disappointed. The hostess was on the phone and gave me a look like I was intruding just by being there and wanting a seat. She then passed me off to a server that happened to be walking by with food to take me to a table. I had requested a booth and several were available but I was taken to a table. I asked again for a booth and the server, in an irritated voice said hang on. She went and delivered her food, leaving me standing in the middle of the restaurant. When she returned I was seated at a dirty booth. I used my napkin to wipe it down.Mt server was very nice and friendly when she came and took my order and the food was pretty quick in coming. I ordered the eggs and sausage. Its 2 eggs, I asked for over easy, 2 sausage patties, and 3 pancakes. Then my order arrived the pancakes were cold, they couldn’t even melt the butter and the eggs were undercooked. I did have a bite of the sausage and have to say that the sausage was very good. When my waitress came back and I told her the problem she said she would get the manager. I was surprised to see that the manager was the woman on the cell phone was the manager. She came to the table and I told her what was wrong and she pointed to the sausage and said how about those pie things. I said the sausage? They are fine. Then she said fine, I will just charge you for those. Then she took my plate and walked away. REALLY?! No let me have that remade, no I am sorry that happened, no let me get you a fresh plate….I just got up and left, and no I didn’t pay for the bite of sausage I had. About 10 minutes up the road is a place called Totin’s Diner. I went there and the food and service were wonderful and the table was clean. My suggestion is the next time you think about going here you drive 10 more minutes and have a good breakfast.
The apple cinnamon pancake is one of a kind. You have to try it. The owner is very personable and always stops to say hello.
So good!. Why don’t people talk about this place? Everybody in this area talks about Pamela’s but this place was much better. I had the buckwheat pancakes and bacon. The bacon was thickly cut and crispy, just how I like it. It’s also helpful that the calories are listed on the menu. They have a huge selection of pancakes, plenty of seating and a large parking lot.
