This is a cute little place and my new fave little diner in the area, out of waffles Incaffeinated, Valliants and Totins. Of course we went on a weekday at 9am so we didn’t have to fight the weekend breakfast traffic and were seated right away. My husband had the spicy sausage omelette and I had the swirl french toast combo. Holy moly the omelette was huge, half a plate at least. And the omelette was tasty, not too spicy. The French toast combo was very filling. People told us it was a bit of pricey place for a diner, but the portion sizes are on par for the price. The swirl toast was just too sweet for me, I think it was the glaze they finish it up with. I would definitely come back and get something else though. The service was very good as well, we got checked on a lot to make sure everything was going good.

We ordered a salad as an appetizer and got a handful of lettuce and spinach with a single tomato wedge on the side of the plate, and a meager portion of utterly tasteless mozzarella shreds topping it. We also ordered a milkshake, and received the thinnest, runniest, stingiest excuse for one I’ve had in years. We ordered liver and onions with a side of mashed potatoes, as well as a gyro with pierogies on the side. The potatoes were either from an instant mix, or they were food-processed. Nothing else could explain how gluey the mess turned out. We marveled at just how badly the diner had managed to screw up mashed potatoes, of all things. As for the liver, we didn’t finish it.The poor, poor gyro…the tzatziki was thin, runny, and practically tasteless, the beef-and-lamb strips were of the cheapest mass-processed frozen garbage imaginable (and underdone to boot), there was no tomato at all, only some sort of salad greens hanging around with the few bits of cubed yellow onions cowering in shame. The pita was of course not baked or fried, just barely warm flat bread only slightly thicker than some sort of glorified wheat tortilla. Maybe it was a tiny Lebanese pita or a processed wrap — who knows? All in all, this was right up there with the top ten lousiest gyros I’ve ever had, and no Greek diner would ever serve such a thing to anyone but a dog, and a dog they didn’t like at that.I received a total of two (2) miniature pierogies on the side of the gyro along with some overdone, barely warm and completely limp fried onions. Maybe the cook and waitstaff felt I needed to lose some weight. The total came out to thirty-seven bucks for this nasty little lunch. I should have gone up the road a bit and ordered burgers from Wendy’s or Burger King. I will most definitely do so in the future when I travel on Perry Highway. It’s really sad. The waitresses were having some petty dispute among themselves that they didn’t bother to even try to hide while we were there, their faces twisted in perpetual pouts of disappointment at the broken shards their dreams of being proud of the food they serve have become. But the place is nicely set up as far as location and decor go, and you get the sense that with a competently prepped diner menu that’s served with pride, this little roadside attraction would be printing money. As it is, they barely try, and you feel covered with a thin slick of their endless mediocrity when you leave Totin’s Diner. So for the staff, if you love the food you make and you feel you’re not running a sham of an American diner, you’re welcome to what you think, but you won’t be seeing me again to help your illusions along.

Prime rib night. Excellent great service

Aweful Prime Rib Bad Overall Quality. My wife just stopped in tonight because we have been searching for good prime rib. We both ordered the 16oz prime rib med well. Sorry to say, it was the worst prime rib we have even had. I sent mine back it was so bad. It was extremely tough to cut through and it was totally tasteless. My wife’s was a little more tender but certainly not melt in your mouth by any stretch. It was equally tasteless. I sent mine back, and ordered a meatloaf sandwich. She kept hers and did the best she could but ate less than half. Again, it got tough in the middle. All in all it was very disappointing as we were hoping this would be a part of our weekly stop as we both love prime rib. Again we were shocked at both the unacceptable quality and the lack of taste. So overall we were very disappointed and felt we should let you know. Hopefully it was just a bad night. I know there were only 2 other tables and it was 6:00PM. We try and support our local merchants but this did not go well. Hopefully you can either take it off your menu or strive to obtain a quality product,Finally I must say, event though they were slow, and we told our waitress my wife’s was not good, she just didn’t get that the food wasn’t good. Not very personable. Seemed like there was a bunch of kids for wait staff and also behind the kitchen. Not sure if ownership was working or not as no one really came over to find out what had happened.I’m sure this place is good for breakfast and sandwiches and they give you lots of food but skip the prime rib. I was awful. Plus it isn’t always about the quantity but the quality! When I sent mine back, I instead tried the hot meatloaf sandwich. A huge sandwich and was good however the gravy tasted like it was industrial dark gravy. I would think a place like this would have homemade gravy. Just a bad experience and I don’t think we will be going back. Maybe they should just stick to what they do best. Breakfasts and sandwiches.

Sand. Finally a good diner in Wexford. Small, but friendly, at tentative staff. Fast service and excellent food. Fresh and large servings. We are regulars.
