Pulled Pork Nachos!!!. A few of my co-workers and I stopped for Happy Hour the Monday before Christmas and sat in the bar area- the service was great and the Pulled Pork Nachos (!!!)- YOU HAVE to try!! Loved them so much I went back with my sister last Friday night. This time we were seated in the dining section…again the service was awesome and not only were the Polled Pork Nachos fab, but my medium rare burger was MEDIUM RARE (many places will tell you they will do medium rare only to serve a burger with nothing pink inside!). So guess what- I am going back with my family this Sunday for a little Valentines lunch/brunch. I give the Walnut Grill nothing but a big thumbs up! Suzie B.
Great place to eat. Also service was good, took a little longer for our food to come, but our waiter was a young black man, and was very accommodating. Overall good place.
Poor service/management. My sisters and I stopped here for a girls lunch out recently. Not being all that hungry, I ordered the lettuce wraps. The first thing I noticed was how very small the portion of chicken was, but since I wasn’t that hungry, it wasn’t a big deal. I picked up a lettuce leaf and noticed what looked like dirt on it. Picked up a few more and saw the same thing. Wiped some off with my finger and the lettuce below looked fine. This fact will be important later. Our server was called over and told about it. She took the dish into the kitchen and came back with a message from the kitchen staff that I was wrong and what I saw wasn’t dirt but was there because the lettuce was wilted. As noted above, it definitely wasn’t wilted. I was offered a menu to select another dish (which was the correct thing to do), but was made to feel as though I was unreasonable to complain about the lettuce. The restaurant only had a few tables with patrons so it was not busy at all, but a manager never came over to address the problem. Left hungry and with a resolve to never return. The lettuce wasn’t the main problem. I understand things like that happening occasionally. The lack of concern and response from management was the issue, along with being made to feel I did something wrong. If they don’t care, how do they expect any of their staff to care.
Love this place. I’ve been here three times in the last month or so and everything has been great. The salmon balsamico is fantastic and the NY strip I had the other night was cooked perfectly. Highly suggest checking this place out. Also the fruit and cheese app too.
We’ve been here before. Food is so so, sometimes ok, others not so much – never great. Tonight, we sat here for 18 minutes before we were approached by a waiter. Never again.
You guys are great but, you need more desert choices an seafood items. Than you would be number 1
I go to many restaurants around the Pittsburgh area. This restaurant in particular has given me consistent problems. They are not willing to bend over backwards for their loyal customers. The owner is only concerned with how much money he is bringing in for the evening. Currently, I am still waiting for my food while my family eats their dinners. This is the worst restaurant and the worst service I have ever encountered in my dining experiences.
