I have traveled the country and love good BBQ, and this place certainly has it. The brisket was flavorful and tender (1/2 portion is certainly enough). The cole slaw was one of the most flavorful I have had, with just a little bit of kick. The hush puppies were outrageously good. I will definitely return. Also, is it good to see a celebrity chef who is actually in his restaurant – probably why the quality is so good.
5th time here. I will start out on a few positive notes. The atmosphere is great and the servers are attentive and friendly. My brisket was delicious, along with the fries. The sandwiches are a good value. My husband loves fish and orders it each time. Unfortunately, it was tasteless and the seasoning is inconsistent. If you love a good barbeque, then this is the perfect place, but if you order anything else, it will be bland. My son’s pork was lukewarm and had to send it back. After the 5th time going here, my husband is done…too many other places in the area to try.
