I want to like it. but i don’t. So far I been to borderline twice. Both times its been a miserable experience. first it is an old Perkin’s but the remodel makes no sense.. the closed off walls put booths in the wrong place.. it is a lot smaller then Perkins, the food. well epic fail here. I love chicken parm, its my go to dish. and they manage to mess it up. the sauce was so heavy in sage it was almost inedible. so this time we went for my parents anniversary dinner. which was a large party. well we arrived and no one knew we had a large reserve, after my mom arrived they finally found the reservation, but then informed we could not have the back room because they booked a tour group back there.. they told us to wait for another large party to finish, well half hour later and 18 of us jammed the front after many from the party tried to talk to somebody told us they were going to give us booths. well my mom ordered a cake invited friends from hours away, the finally said we will just have to keep waiting, finally the large party started to leave. but apparently they were friends with the staff as the hugged and kissed them as they left.. which made me realize the staff could care less about our party. finally they got us seated. the waitress was ok but one waitress for a party of 18 was ridiculous, the restaurant started to empty and they left her to handle us all. not to mention how they had us there was no way for most of us to get out if we wanted the salad bar. after a half hour our drinks finally arrived…then we ordered.. I ordered an open face sampler which included ham, turkey, roast beef all with white and brown gravy and i got filling and fries. it looked tasty, but looks can be deceiving. the filling was what I think potato filling either way the texture was grainy. then I got a taste of the white gravy with turkey.. and there was my friend sage back. I like sage but it overwhelmed the dish. the brown gravy was good.. but the fries.. my wife who ordered pancakes.. tried my gravy fries.. instantly said they taste funny. at first i thought it was gravy but then I had a fry with no gravy and realized it was the oil. it tasted burnt. I would bet the oil needed to be changed.. my wife’s pancakes fair no better. She can usually eat any pancake but even i will admit it was burnt.. not enough syrup in the country could cover that.. others in our party had similar problems but they were polite about it. after being there almost three hours our party broke up. we never received the sheet cake my mom ordered, and due to the way we were seated she could not visit with her friends and family. she brought pictures to pass around. to be honest because of their inefficiency they spoiled my parents anniversary party. between how we were treated and the bad food I doubt I will ever come back. can’t recommend this place to anyone
