Decor is lovely, food is good and service is friendly, but there’s a definite lack of experience and maturity here. Dishes are sometimes a bit over the top and staff leaps between over-attentive and completely ignoring customers? With time and a bit more experience, I think this restaurant will do well
Awesome food, great atmosphere and good service. The truffle mac and cheese, lobster won tons, seven page microbrew selection and huge liquor selection are all worth a visit. Definitely make reservations if you plan to come. It can fill up fast!
My daughter gave us a voucher for a tasting menu for 2 at the mint. Although we called a week before the end date they told us they were too busy and refused to honor the voucher. I’ve eaten there once. Excellent beer, food is overpriced and sounds better than it is. But I don’t do business with crooks so I’ll just eat the voucher.Since I first wrote this I’ve twice had friends ask if we wanted to eat there. Both times I’ve convinced the friends that we should eat somewhere else. The brew pub is excellent and Horns is great (BYOB). And the owners of The Mint are still crooks in my book.
I had the burger and it was excellent. They cooked it perfect and the service was excellent tonight.20 Sep, 2012Food was good and nice beer selection. I had the grouper and it was a little rubbery but the flavor was fine. I will return in the future.
Tasty Every Time. Not sure why or how others had a bad dining experience, because every time the man and I drive up from nj, the food is wonderful (we have gone about 4-5 times now over the course of several months).First, the food in innovative and tasty. You can tell the chef and his staff care about quality and taste. The menu encourages me to think outside the box when I order and every dish I have gotten has been fresh, delicious, and well prepared.Second, the drink list is exceptional. Dining with a companion who has expertise in the Beverage industry, the Mint’s beer,wine, and cocktail list is impressive, diverse, and unbeatable.Finally, the waitstaff is friendly, upbeat, and knows their stuff. One waiter in particular always goes above and beyond when we dine, even if we are not seated in his section. Service like this is far and few.
Very disappointing. The tater tot appetizer was nothing but frozen tater tots with some toppings. My husband could have made it much better than that. I got the pigs in a blanket which was a little less than just okay. The boars meat was the best part but there was hardly any of it. The pig belly was under cooked and chewy…like fat. My husband got the pheasant cordon bleu which was the size of a chicken wing. There was no ham or cheese…isn’t that what cordon bleu means?? There was a football bowl game that my husband wanted to watch but they never changed the channel from the History or Travel channel on 5 TV’s at the bar. The bar manager Brad offered to comp $14 off of our bill but we were just ready to go. Glad we tried something new, but we will never go back.
