I love the social still! I tell everyone I know to go here. I love the atmosphere. Food is great and drinks are better. Their locally distilled liquors are great! Pork belly ramen is amazing! So are the seared scallops and the hush puppies.

I have been to Social Still a few times really wanting to love the place. The spirits they distill are actually pretty good. Unfortunately, their cocktails, which run $11-12 a piece, always seem to be inconsistent. I tried The Herbalist, a thyme infused gin cocktail, the first time and it was outstanding. Subsequently I’ve ordered it again and it was way off, and it was simply not good. I am not sure if the bartenders are tasting the cocktails before serving. If not, they should. In terms of food, the tuna tartare martini was really good. Unfortunately, everything else I have tried has been OK but not great. The prices are on the high side, which is fine if the quality is there. I am still rooting for Social Still.
