My wife and I dined in the Tap Room last evening. We started with a calamari appetizer. It arrived and was extremely greasy and the calamari was like eating rubber bands. Our dinners then arrived. My seafood Cobb salad was delicious – no complaints. My wife however ordered grilled mahi mahi with Asian noodles and baby bok choy. The fish was extremely dry and the vegetables were spartan. It was poorly prepared and certainly not what we are accustomed to at Hotel Bethlehem. VERY DISAPPOINTING
The Tap Room in the Hotel Bethlehem is a nice place to stop for a drink. The atmosphere of the historic hotel lobby is enough to make the bar a worthwhile stop. The bartenders are always professional and friendly. The cocktails are always pretty good, and there is always a decent selection of beers on tap. I have tried a few small plates, and nothing has been particularly standout, but all was reasonably good. If you are in Bethlehem for the holiday season, or live there and somehow never stopped in, make it a stop.
