Excellent food but bring ear protection. My wife and I dined at The Bayou last evening. When we walked in, we were taken aback with the noise. This is not the place to go for a quiet meal. We almost got up to leave because of the noise. We decided to stay and are glad we did. The food was excellent. The gumbo was exceptional. I has the fried chicken dinner which was probably the best fried chicken I’ve ever had and my wife had the skirt steak which was very tender and delicious. For dessert, we split an order of beignet’s. To our surprise, the waitress arrived with a plate with four beignet’s that were very hot (obviously made to order) and covered with powdered sugar. We found all pricing to be very fair including the cocktails. We will be back for sure.

This is a fun place with some interesting food, you should definitely check it out! There does seem to be some issue with service, we had a reservation but our table wasn’t available. Fortunately the bar had room and great service. We wound up staying there because it was going to be a long wait. The bartenders are great! The Mac and cheese is ridiculous! Definitely order it to share, so rich, reminds me of carbonara with the ham and peas. The problem mousse is also amazing, leave room!
Bad service. We went there after hearing great things about the food well…the service was the worst I have ever had…the owner/manager was very rude and more into hitting on womenthe front staff didn’t know how or when to seat usthe food was good but was very slow coming out to us and the waitress was not very personableoverall, the food was ok but the service was bad enough not to come back for awhile
Holy Cow! What an awesome place. Chef spins a new twist in good ole southern comfort food. Hush Puppies with Chimachurra Can’t explain it but it works.
