The best coffee in Pittsburg…. If you want coffee as it is meant to be, if you’re willing to wait a minute or two while someone who genuinely cares how your coffee turns out spends the time to make it exactly right this is the place to go. The dissatisfied reviewers were not looking for this kind of coffee. This isn’t a place to get hours old, bitter and burnt, loaded with sugar and cream, Starbucks-style coffee. It’s a European style coffee shop where quality coffee is the priority. The staff is not the least bit pretentious and they are more than willing to talk to you seriously about coffee or tea or anything else on your mind. I’m surprised by the number of people who seem to have their ego invested in the way they take their coffee. Yes, they’ll suggest you drink it a certain way but sugar is right on the counter and they’ll get cream for you from the refrigerator. Why would you want to eat or drink anything and have the person who made it unconcerned with it being as good as possible? As far as I’m concerned this is the only coffee shop in downtown Pittsburgh. As long as you come in with an open mind and not expecting a corporate coffee factory you won’t be disappointed.

It’s the coffe!!. It is pretentious and a little snooty, but it’s all about the coffee and a non Starbucks experience. The coffee here is made slow, one order at time, dripping slowly through a filter into a glass carafe, the coffee is then aerated to bring out the flavors. The cup of Colombian was one of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had. You could taste all the flavors and nuances from the bean. The down side it was a four dollar cup of coffee, but you get what you pay for a great tasting cup and not a frappie, upside down cappuccino skinny latte with a double pump of who knows what topped off with whipped cream.

Very Tasty Coffee. I love coffee. I wake up every day and look forward to my one delicious cup with a pinch of sugar and a little half and half. That being said, I look forward to Saturday’s when I head to the Strip to shop. I usually begin with a clean, condiment free cup of coffee at the 21 Street Coffee Shop. This is a place for true coffee lover’s. The coffee is so outstanding because the temperature is perfect, the flavors are delightful, and the people who make your cup love coffee even more than you do.

So-So. This place was alright- the service was good and friendly, but I feel like the selection was rather small. I had a Chai Latte, and while it was decent, it was nothing spectacular.
