Having read other website reviews on Alihans I expected a delicious meal and a formal setting. Indeed the meal was truly delicious, but the well decorated restaurant was warm and welcoming to people in casual attire, and not at all stuffy. Our starters were the Chef Borek and Hummus and I had the Iskinder Kebab for my entre. Everything was delicious – but special kudos go to the Chef Borek which was so good I could have eaten twenty. This is a wonderful restaurant staffed with very friendly and helpful people. Don’t think that you need to be dressed formal to come here – just be sure to stop by and enjoy a delicious taste of Turkish food.

Lamb Kabobs were not prepared correct and she without hesitation took them back to have them cooked to perfection, and wow what a difference that made. So fun. Can’t wait to go back.
The Hospitality and Authentic Food and Drinks. The owner and all servers are so nice, they make you feel so welcomed and like at home. The Iskender Kebab is a great example of a real Turkish dish – Gyro on a layer of butter bread, all topped with homemade tomato sauce, and yogurt. After that we had Turkish coffee and homemade baklava! yuuuummmmmyyyyy!
One of the Best Around. The Food is as good if not better than any high priced restaurant, Made just right, tender lamb regardless of how it’s made, sea bass excellent. Have taken different friends and everyone has loved it. Friendly service, nice atmosphere and priced right. One of the few places open after theater on a weekday. Highly recommend
Excellent food, good service, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices. The appetizer platter is outstanding. Best baba ganoush I’ve ever had. The lamb chops were a bit over cooked for my taste but they were perfectly seasoned and delicious. My husband had the sea bass and it was perfectly cooked. His plate needed a scoop of rice or bulgur, all he got was fish and salad. Will definitely be back.
Disappointed. Got their and they had no record of a reservation I had made about 3 weeks earlier. Not a good start. They talked about complimentary glass of wine when I made the reservation. I had to ask for it, was not offered. Ordered lamb kabob. Lamb was not tender and not much flavor. Ordered rice with it which was very plain and disappointing. The worst was what they call salad with the meal. It was shredded lettace that looked like what you get on a hoagie. YUK. Also very bland. Dessert was ok but not great. Would never go back.
One of the best dinner experiences I ever had in downtown pittsburgh. Fish was prepared exceptionally well. Cold sample platter was great too! Would definitely go back!!!
