Burnt Sandwich. Had a Cuban sandwich and it was burnt to a crisp. It took about 45 minutes to get. I guess that is why it was burnt. Must have been on the grill that long. Way over priced too.

What happened?. We have eaten at August Henry’s City Saloon on a number of occasions, but last week’s experience was so disappointing in comparison. To be fair, this is not a gourmet high end restaurant, but it is usually solid. However, from the Caesar salad that contained some very brown pieces of romaine, to the chicken romano, it was a disaster. The restaurant is featuring and pitching a new menu. On the waitress’s recommendation, I tried the chicken romano that was to be similar to chicken parm, except with a lemon base sauce. The chicken arrived at the table with no sauce – just a very dried out, breaded/browned, piece with romano cheese on top with some very dry pre-grated parmesan on that. Served with it were mini baked potatoes and asparagus. The potatoes were just roasted with no seasoning and the asparagus was quite tough. It was probably the worst meal I have had in recent memory. The waitress not very attentive and since we had a show to make, I didn’t want to complain there because of a time factor. If this is a new menu as a result of a new chef, it will be a long while before we return. Just not a good experience.

Poor Service – Place Sucks. Went to lunch with a friend ordered some stuff from lunch menu after almost 40 min wait every 5 min server is telling food is on the way. Finally thought better talk to Manager( this guy name Todd … ) came and telling it getting delayed if you want you can leave or just keep waiting (after a wait of 50 min) Very rude and unfit to be a Manager of a any resturant (may be not even fit to be in this business or any customer facing business). Customer service sucks. I think Pittsburgh guys who said this is one of the Best need to think again service sucks.

Yikes.. Just had a quick lunch here and simply ordered a bowl of soup and a side salad. Didn’t look at the menu and that was my first mistake. $6.50 for a bowl of chicken soup filled with sodium. Come on. Really! I don’t care if you’re downtown or not. A quick lunch turned into a $13 waste of time and money. Never again.

Good service and boring food.. Excellent beer selection, friendly service, and middling food. I can’t blame our server, who never let our drinks empty before bringing another, for the food. He, in fact, was the only redeeming aspect of the entire experience. Way overpriced, flat tasting, and uninspired. We started with a miniscule portion of limp tasteless calamari. I had the panko crusted fried fish sandwich and onion rings. Fish was overcooked and heavily breaded with a tasteless batter. O-rings were premade and dull. Girlfriend had a thirty dollar steak worth fifteen at best. It wasn’t even seasoned. You can get better clamari and fried fish sandwichs at Wholeys for half the price. Management should arrange a field trip. Yet another example of a restaurant that cashes in on a downtown location, charges downtown prices, and fails to deliver. Also, not to split hairs but the bar was half occupied by employees (still dressed for work mostly) and we couldn’t get a seat. On-duty employees were also outside the front of the restaurant smoking. A big no-no anywhere I have worked.

After the sharp edge bistro treated us soooo poorly. We brought a bachelor party of 15 guys in on a busy saturday night and they were awesome. we posted up at the bar and immediately were treated great. our pitchers were never empty and the shots were flowing. the food was awesome as weel. cookie the bartender was so unbelievable pleasant. i recommend this place to anyone. we had sooo much fun.
