Great food. Just your typical sandwich / salad / soup cafe. But has gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options which I have found hard to find.Soup options always seem healthy and there is a decent amount of sandwich options available. Not only do they look after the vegans and gluten free in savoury, but also in their sweet options. Their cookies are really good!Slightly expensive, but don’t mind paying a bit extra for something healthy.

Needs to speed up the checkout process. You spend the majority of your time waiting because they haven’t figured out that you don’t need to have people sign a receipt when paying with cards or that lunch hour is busy and you need two cashiers…
Laughable!. I’ve only gotten sandwiches here which are always good…not much bang for your buck, but tasty so every once and a while I’ll come here. Today, I decided on whim to try this chickpea salad they had which looked delicious. I ordered a small and boy did I get in every sense of the word a small order. It was like half a spoon full. The guy at least could have made it a heaping spoonful! I opened it up once back to my office and just laughed….absolutely ridiculous! And, I paid $3 and change for this! It’s so small I can count how many chickpeas, how many cherry tomatoes and how many pieces of cucumber I had. It is going to take a lot for me to go back to this place again just based on principal. Sad part…it was delicious.
FELT CHEATED. I am regular at blue bird, no doubt their food is awesome. But, today i went in their for a late lunch and wasnt too hungry so wanted to get their small salads…which is about 3 dollar something.The guy helping was nice, he even made me try 2 salads before buying, i loved both. And, asked if I could do half-n-half of both. I told him in the beginning that I wanted a small salad…..happy until now.Then, he went to the register and the bill was 6.72, so I asked him how come the salad is so expensive. He said I gave you 2 smalls…… and i clearly told him that I needed something small. when i told him I dont need 2 small salads…. he basically gave me a blank, unapologetic look and said…. ‘Sorry about that’, which he clearly wasnt. And, to top it all, the salad wasnt even 2 smalls, it was probably one small and an extra piece of tomato. So, I didnt even get what i paid for. I felt cheated and paid more than i wanted to.
Good food, but not great service. I don’t mind waiting for a sandwich to be made, but the staff isn’t very pleasant and didn’t once let me know (after waiting 15 over minutes) that my order was still on the way.
Best Quality Freshest Ingredients…And Delicious. My Only Negative, I Don’t Work Downtown To Eat Here More Often. Great Cafe!!!
