I was downtown on Sunday craving a piece of pizza, and I saw that Giovanni’s Pizza & Pasta was open, so I stopped in and ordered a slice. The cost was $2.00 even, and the pizza only took a few minutes to be ready, but I really didn’t care for it too much. It was lopsided, and was mostly bread, and the sauce wasn’t delicious. I’d say it was just O.K.
Liz at the register and the manager Jackie couldn’t have been nicer. This is a wonderful little pizza place that also does a large number of deliveries, so expect this to look like a pizza shop and not a fancy swanky restaurant. The seafood pizza was very tasty, with all real, fresh ingredients (the crab was imitation crab but still good). They also do pizza by the slice. Extensive menu including gyros, stromboli, Philly cheese steaks, calzones, wraps, wings, specialty pastas, gourmet pizzas, salads, and appetizers. Visited store on July 19, 2014. I wouldn’t hesitate to eat here again. Definitely recommended.
This has been my go to pizza joint since I moved back to Pittsburgh. After my experience tonight I am officially done. I ordered a medium pizza for delivery which never came after over an hour I called and they said they must’ve taken my number down wrong and would send it right back out. After a half hour I called again and they let me know it would be heading out with the next driver. Don’t waste your time with this place the only thing that’s been consistent is how far down hill they’ve gone.
Killer Slices!!!!. It’s becoming somewhat of a ritual to grab a couple slices after a 3-11 shift. They hook me up with whatever toppings I want outside of pepperoni and cheese…..I take it it home and indulge. I love their slices.
Ordered my first order for delivery and was unbelievably surprised by how amazing the pizza was. I couldn’t believe how good it was for the money. Will be ordering from them again!!
ULTIMATE STEAK. THe ultimate steak and ultimate chicken are amazing sammichs. Im a big guy and like to eat and the whole does a great job of filling me up. If you’re a girl or just a wimp get the half. One of the best hoagies ive had in pittsburgh although a little pricey.
