The quintessential US-big-city-downtown-Indian-buffet that cater mostly bland, and often stale, food. Being in the downtown, they get a lot of single-shot business and can huff-n-puff to a small profit. On the bright side, the naans were freshly made and the daal tasted great. So I could manage to have something, at least. The staff, as expected, were friendly. There is plenty of seating available, and you don’t have to elbow others while you blow your nose!
My experience with Indian food in the US has been quite good but this place was really bad. The buffet wasn’t heated properly so we were having cold food most of the time. The spices weren’t appropriate and the food was quite bland. The dessert wasn’t even inducing.Tried to complain about the food to the manager but I have never felt so much humiliated before due to their ignorance..Avoid at all costs
Had the unfortunate experience of eating their food at a friend’s party. The food was so bland that the only thing you could taste was turmeric. Leave alone going to this restaurant, I would not waste my time writing a review on them unless I wanted others to be aware.Avoid!!
Went there for my refund due to rotten food and they were ready with their attorney’s number…. Wow!!! Seems like they go through these kinds of complains a lott.
The most horrible indian food..Ordered a pick up of biryani, naan and jalfraize. The potatoes in the food were rotten and the rice had a unberable smell. I had to throw the food away after a couple of bites.Restaurants like this spoil the reputation of indian cuisine.
Festival of Flavors. Was in the mood for something different today so I decided to give the India Palace a try. I can’t believe I’ve been passing this place by for so long. I got a seat at a booth then went straight to the buffet. What an array of choices available. I decided to try a little of everything. Although the tandoori chicken was a tad bit dry (and I’m nit-picking here), I can honestly say that there was nothing that I didn’t like. It was a festival of flavors. In addition to the deliciousness of the food, the place is spacious, comfortable and clean and the people are courteous and friendly. I’ve got nothing bad to say about this place. If you’re downtown and getting tired of the burgers, pizza, sandwiches and such, give the India Palace a try. If you like flavors, you’ll luv this place.
Delicious!. We lived in town and have walked by this restaurant many times and never stopped in before this weekend. I’m sorry we didn’t go sooner! Everything we had was wonderful. In fact, we even ordered take out so we could have food the next day. The tandoori chicken was one of the best I’ve ever had. The spice was just right and the chicken was really moist. The spices we had on everything were perfect. Great channa masala and tikki masala.
