Best Tiramasu ever!
Healthiest Pizzeria in Town!. La Gondola Pizzeria combines healthy foods with great taste. Do you know they do not even own a deep fryer? For example, they make the best French fries in townprobably in the USA! These are known as Cosenza fries. They brush the fries with olive oil, which is very healthy compared to the other oil used to deep fry fries elsewhere. Then they bake them in the ovenagain, they do not deep fry them! I knew a few other places that oven fried French fries them but they did not turn out as good because they used thicker fries, which in an oven, do not cook as uniformly as the thinner ones used in La Gondola. And these cost less than $2.50! What a bargain!They not only use olive oil for their fries, but for all their products, except for one type of salad dressing, they only use olive oil exclusively.Also even though I am not a big red meat eater, I love their steak hoagies, the only place I practically ever buy them. Their steak is not the ground and pressed meat, but slices of real sirloin tip.The atmosphere is great there. Not a cookie-cutter corporate chain branch but a real home feeling. Located in the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh in Market Square with outdoor seating.Great food, healthy food and a wonderful atmosphere. Hey want this? Delicious sicilian style pizza!! I ordered a piece of sicilian with pepperoni mushroom onion and cheese. I loved the crispy outside of the crust with a light and airy inside. The sauce was perfectly seasoned not sweet more savory. The waitress has one of tge best personalities ive experienced anywhere overall 5 star lunch for pizza
