Bad Service, Bad Management, Mediocre Food. I’ve been hitting lunch at Mitchell’s on-and-off for many years. Today was the worst. I waited almost 45 minutes to get my lunch…and it was cold when I got it. The waitress complained that it was the kitchen’s fault, but if that was the case, why would my hot entree be cold? Seems like it was the waitress’ fault. Note to management – don’t put an inexperienced waitress in your main dining area during Friday lunch hour without someone supervising her. Bad management, bad service, mediocre/cold food. You guys just don’t get it, or don’t care. Either way, I’m not coming back. I know, you don’t care about that either.
Horrible Service. I think the food is pretty decent. Better than the food in my work’s cafeteria for sure. But the service is awful and the food can be over priced. It is 75 cents for a tiny cup of buffalo dipping sauce. The lemons in the water are also tiny. The water is always lukewarm. The service in general though here is just a nightmare most of the time. They always forget things, you never get refills, and they take literally 10-15 minutes just to do your bill. I would suggest this place maybe once in awhile but there are plenty of other nice lunch options for downtown workers.
Nothing special..Smokiest bar ever.. Mitchell’s is close to where I work, so it is a popular place for Happy Hours. That being said, I dread going there. The alchol prices are fine, but the smoke in the bar is horendous. The have smoke eaters in the bar area but I don’t think they do much, if anything.The food at Mithchell’s is uninspired cafeteria food. I don’t mind their fish sandwhiches and Mac & Cheese around lent but that’s it. There is no reason to head there any other time as far as I am concerned. The service is normally bad, the prices are just ok. All and all, nothing really redeeming.
