Unacceptable: Overrated and Pretentious. If you hate money and love onions, this is the place for you!Paltry steaks were undercooked, poorly prepared, and presented in a lackluster fashion. At these prices, you’d expect the cut of meat to be superb, not something you can readily purchase at Giant Eagle. Our bread arrived an hour after we sat down, unsliced, and riddled with onion. Appetizers were meagerly sized, dramatically overpriced, and not clearly defined in the menu.Sides were a major disappointment. We hoped that the desserts might be a redeeming factor, but alas, the cheesecake was unrecognizable and tasteless, and the keylime pie was barely adequate. How this business remains solvent and maintains a steady cliental is a mystery.
Decent food, Horrible service. We had a party of 7 on a Saturday night in December. Arrived at our table where we waited 10 minutes for the waiter to take our drink orders. He did not give us our menus until we had to ask for them 20 minutes after being seated. He was completely clueless when taking our drink and dinner orders. Did not know who ordered what. Side dishes came out 10 minutes after the dinners. One dinner arrived 5-10 minutes after the rest. The waiter never returned until the bill was ready to be paid and then had to ask us what we orded and how many drinks we had. Its hard to put into words what we went through. I have never experienced anything like this and at a restaurant where the average dinner is $50/plate and wine $15-20/glass, I will never again. Was looking forward to a nice evening out but the only good service was the valet. Ruth Chris definitely better as well and Capital Grille.
Disappointed…had dinner there last night and while the food was very good, the experience wasn’t what it should be…walnuts left off of the Bibb lettuce salad, filet ordered medium rare was served medium, sides arrived several minutes after the steaks, and adding insult to injury our waiter never returned after meals were served to see if we were satisfied. Not the attention to detail nor the experience I expect for the price paid.
First time in Pittsburgh. Stopped in for restaurant week. Everything was absolutely perfect. Rose was our server and she was on point. We will be back for sure!
Down hill. Never thought a steak i got from Morton’s would be bland but the last time my wife and I were in it was terrible the service was great but I was also diss appointed to see a chef in training eating the food while cooking it..should have never sold out!!!.I will not be back to Morton’s like said before the Capitol grill is my new steak spot
Well I used to love her, but it’s all over now. Gosh, Landry’s – way to muck up a good thing. We used to do all of our special occasions here as the kids loved it. The last visit before this week’s was just not great, and we’ve started going to Capital Grille, which is MUCH better. With the exception of the impeccable service, it was a huge disappointment. Our cocktails were watered down, the petite filet was the size of a LIME, and the parmesan truffle fries were just plain fries with no flavor. When you add in the lumpy pasty cheesecake, well, I would rather go to the Cheesecake Factory and not spend $250 on dinner for two people.
Way over priced. If I am paying that much money for a meal, I expect a little more presentation besides just a slab of beef on a plate. The baked potato was huge but it wasn’t anything special. I took my mother here before a show and won’t come back. There are better restaurants for the
