I hadn’t been to Peter Allen’s since they remodeled from Franco’s Italian and renamed it. I like the look better now and the atmosphere at the bar if you’re just getting a drink is better. However, the food is the same overpriced food that’s just okay, the tables are SUPER CRAMMED together (when they seated people at the table next to us, one of the people at our table was as close to their table as ours) and the service wasn’t that great.Service was fine until he dropped off our check, then the waiter completely disappeared. For AGES. He came to surrounding tables, but I tried waving my arms like crazy and he never looked at us. Remember how close I said the tables were? Imagine how he could have managed to talk to those at a table we were practically on top of WITHOUT noticing us… There are so many great restaurants in the area (many of which aren’t even as expensive). I’d rather pay a lot of money for great food and service than a lot of money for a cramped table and service that’s only okay.
