Proper Brick Oven is one of my favorite places to go. They have amazing pizzas with crispy crusts and delicious toppings. Their homemade chips and dips are a nice snack and they have a great craft beer selection!
This restaurant is small, the food is good, but the portions are small and you will leave hungry.There were four in our group and we each ordered a salad and a pasta dish, and needed to go elsewhere and order a pizza, because we were still hungry.
DEFINITELY one of our favorites in the area since our first visit. Wonderful food, a great beer and cider selection, and a nice atmosphere. If you haven’t been there yet, I’d definitely recommend it. Everything we’ve ever eaten there has been great and there are SO many things on the menu that look amazing that we haven’t had time to try.
I wanted to love it based on other reviews, but I wasn’t impressed with the pizza to the point I would suggest it to my friends. I had the candy bacon to start off and enjoyed it, but Im a lover of bacon in all forms.I’ve been in a mushroom mood lately, so I got the forest pizza for dinner. I don’t usually mind onions but there were just too many shallots on the pizza, it overpowered the pizza.I would probably give this place another chance in the future tho. I enjoyed the ambiance of the place.
Loved it here. Stopped in for appetizers before a show and can’t wait to go back for full dinner. My salad and fries were delicious, and my dining mate’s appetizer was a buttery wonder. The waiter was super courteous and nice even though we weren’t ordering full dinners. Very nice!
The Amalfi Salad was fantastic as were the Blanca, Forest pizzas and the pumpkin cheesecake. The Warlock Pumpkin and the Black in the USSR Porter were also great. The atmosphere was alive. Clearly, this is a popular spot with good reason.
Stopped last night after a comedy show at Heinz Hall. We were seated immediately. We ordered the potato chip appetizer, BLT salads, and the pesto pizza. All were excellent. The service was great also. I would recommend Proper Brick Oven to anyone who is in the cultural district.
