Great food and gets you out in time for a show next door. We have been here several times and never let down. Burgers and fish sandwichs are huge and staff gets you in and out in 45 minutes or less.
Decent. I finally stopped in Sal’s after walking by the place many times in the past. I was craving a Pastrami sandwich and making it up to Szmidt’s in Greenfield was not an option. Sal’s is nice and clean inside and the service was very good. I’m not sure how good the Pastrami is though because there was so little of it on the sandwich. If you’re going to refer yourself as the Best Deli this side of NYC then make a sandwich that reflects that. The Rye Bread was good and was grilled just fine. The Swiss Cheese was tasty and there was ample lettuce and tomato but I’m gonna say there was less than a quarter pound of Pastrami on the entire sandwich. Some bites I took were completely void of the meat. I was kind of pissed that I dropped $10 on Rye Bread, lettuce and tomato. I’ll probably be back to try something else but I definitely wouldn’t recommend Pastrami due to it’s extremely skimpy nature.
