Best Italian in the Burg. What a hidden gem. Atmosphere is not that appealing but who cares? The food is to die for!Service was excellent. The mushroom barley soup was amazing. And there are no words to decribe the tiramisu. Family owned. A little piece of Italy in the middle of downtown.

Downtown best kept secret. Used a groupon tonight and had dinner with some friends. First time we ate at Storms and were pleasantly surprised. Dinner was excellent from appetizers to desert. Service was also excellent. We all agreed we would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Downtown Surprise!. Went on a Friday eve, had never been before. Happy Hour martinis were good (apple & strawberry). Appetizers were tasty. Main courses: Virginia Spots (a la Duquesne Club), Chicken Romano, Veals (Picatta & Scallopini) were all enjoyed. Salads were basic. Wedding Soup was delish. Tiramisu for dessert topped off a lovely meal. In answer to some previous reviews: yes it’s in a basement (no view), yes the decor is dated, BUT the food is tasty & the service was good. Don’t go expecting new Italian cuisine. This is traditional Italian at reasonable prices.

Don’t bother. Unless you are a business man, lawyer, judge or a professional, don’t bother to show up at noon. They won’t seat you! We stood in line while they seated people behind us that didn’t have reservations. I contacted them later and never got a response. Based on many of the reviews, it’s not worth it anyway.

Mixed…. When you first walk down the stairs and enter the basement you become very unsure about your dining choice. However, if you love good food at a resonable price, stick it out! When we were first seated for dinner we were very nervous about how long it was going to take for the meal, since there was only one waitress running around taking care of two rooms and the bar. We were really expecting the worst as far as service goes so it being mediocre was a pleasant surprise. Our appetizer, salads, bread and entrees were spaced nicely and the food was delicious! You can tell the chef knows what he’s doing, everything was wonderful! I only wish they were open later, (they close at 7!) and the dining rooms and bar are desperately crying for an update.
