I’m so glad we FINALLY got to Tako! The tacos (and salsas) were amazing and the margaritas (I had the pineapple/jalapeno one without the jalapeno) were wonderful. We sat at the bar, since we didn’t plan ahead months in advance. The service was great and all the food we saw going by us looked amazing, too. I couldn’t decide, since everything looked so good on the menu, so I took the suggestion of our bartender and she definitely steered me in the right direction, though all of us enjoyed our food. The tacos were also a lot bigger than I expected and filled me up more than I thought they would. I can’t wait to go back. There is so much I want to try!

I’m a huge taco fan so I’m sure you can imagine Tako is one of my favorite spots. Food is a little pricey but once you bite into one of those gourmet tacos you’ll know it’s worth every penny. Outside bar is nice during the summer.

Ordered some takeaway and got the mushroom tako and the kale salad. Both dishes were delicious!!!! Loved the flavour combination of the taco. The mushrooms were super tasty. And the dressing on the salad reminded me of Japan. Yumm!! Fast, friendly service (which has been hard to come by in Pittsburgh so far…) Looking forward to eating in and trying a cocktail!

Fantastic tacos! We tried the Baja, Tako, and chorizo. The Baja was our favorite and it is my new favorite fish taco in the burgh. Two tacos are definitely filling. We ordered three with an appetizer and it was way too much for two people. The white sangria was amazing! The guac was on point too. There service was friendly and attentive.

Overall enjoyed my experience at Tako. We made reservations, which i would highly suggest. I started off with a pineapple basil margarita. It was yummy and very strong. We got the crab/mango/pickled habanero guacamole. It was delicious! I got the street corn, I guess because it is winter is was just a bowl of corn instead of the corn on the cob I’ve gotten here before. Either form is great though. We got a selection of tacos for the table; al pastor, wagu beef, and chicken. Not a fan of the wagu beef tacos, the meat was great but whatever sauce they put with it is a bit strong and off-putting for me. The chicken was yummy and grilled well. My favorite was the al pastor, but I’m a huge fan of mixing sweet with savory. The pineapple and pork just work.On to my pet peeves…#1 – I haven’t been fortunate to sit at a 4-top table, I’ve always been at a 2-top, but the clutter is too much! You get a tall candle, 2 water glasses, and a big water bottle to start. Then if you order anything that comes with chips they bring you a long planter size container of chips. Before you know it you are stacking plates up and hurriedly shoving food in your mouth to make room for other plates.(These next 2 complaints are going to make me sound like a cranky old person, but I swear I’m not)#2 – if I have to turn on my cell phone flashlight to read your menu, it’s too dark. Thank you for the candle to light my way.#3 – the noise level in here is unreal, but not surprising considering all of the related restaurants are this loud. It’s a restaurant, not a club, and personally I don’t need a DJ to eat my tacos to complete satisfaction. The music is pounding, we’re yelling across the table at each other, and I’m leaving with a pounding headache.Overall the food is good enough I’ve come back multiple times to bring friends here who have wanted to try it. I won’t lie though and say I’m not glad that the list of friends has come to an end and I don’t have to come back.

Flat out good food! Reservations are recommended but sitting at the bar was nice, and probably turned out great for a date. Recommend the short rib and Pork belly tacos.
