I was looking for some place that I have yet to have lunch at today and decided it was time to try the terrace. The decor is beautiful and the service is excellent. I went with the Salmon BLT and fries with an ice tea. The sandwich was delicious but the fries were Luke warm at best. Total bill came to $20.54 plus tip.
Had dinner with one of our vendors during a conference and after a lonnngggg day decided just to try the restaurant right in our hotel (Omni William Penn)Firstly the Omni is BEAUTIFUL! Would highly recommend if you’re looking for 4+ Star Hotel with 3Star rates$. Its in downtown Pittsburgh within walking distance of most thingsThe atmosphere in the Terrace Room is gorgeous, the artwork and setting matches that of the hotel. The service is top notch, the menu options are great and you can find something for everyone without being overwhelmedI had the sea bass with the kale and it was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. While if I werent staying in the Omni I probably wouldnt go out of my way to eat at the Terrace Room, its a perfect option if you dont feel like leaving the hotel
My First Perogi. I was recently in Pittsburgh on business and staying at the William Penn Hotel. The first night we just didn’t feel up to going out for dinner and stayed in and took in dinner at the Terrace Room in the hotel. I make an effort to try new things when I travel and our waitress suggested perogies and keilbasa. That’s right up my ally having never eaten perogies before.Man, what have I been missing? This Eastern European stable is fantastic, and so well made at the Terrace Room, they consider it a specialty and it’s easy to understand why after the first bite. The Keilbasa was excellent and they went together so well.Hightly recommend.
Bangin’ Ice Tea. I would come here daily, just to drink 20 iced teas. They have a wonderful infused herbal flavor. Bread basket is tasty. Had several items on the menu & don’t mind paying a little extra because the quality is excellent. The business lunches come with full salad, side, sandwich & desert for $20. Ask for Josh; excellent server. Had another server twice & once he gets in the weeds, you’ll never see him. Otherwise, it is a great place.
Couldn’t have been better. My husband and I went to the city for Valentine’s week-end. We had dinner at the Terrace Room and also breakfast on Saturday morning. We were treated very well by everyone and had a sumptous meal each time. We will go back in the near future, for sure. I highly recommend the restaurant and the hotel.
Overpriced, small but tasty portions. Service was lazy and unenthusiastic. When asked to compare two entrees, the waiter said he preferred a third one, but didn’t seem positive about any of them.
