Dinette. Cute pizza shop to dine at outside of Pitt. We had glasses of wine that were from a rotating list of wines, along with a rotating list of pizzas. Tried a regular ricotta and a white pizza with bacon, Brussels sprouts, and onion. Loved the flavors on the fun one but toppings were sparsely applied so you didnt get a full experience. The crust was crisp and didnt flop too much. Not a ton of taste in the dough but their topping combos made up for it.

I love the food. but they really need to fix the door. last night was the second time we went and were told 45-60min wait. no problem we’ll walk around, here’s my phone number. and twice now we were NEVER called!!!!! the first time it wasn’t a big deal we just went in and they said they typed the wrong number. this time we didn’t have the time so we left after an hour of not hearing anything because at that point we were out of time and had plans. James beard must have loosened its criteria.

Don’t waste your time here. The pizza is small for the price and its half burnt when you get it. The menu is scarce at best. Try pi coal fired in southside or il pizzaiola in mt Lebanon.

Never Again. We decided to try this place to avoid the very long wait at BRGR, boy was that a mistake. We were seated 45 minutes later than estimated after an hour already, they couldn’t remember who ordered what, all for expensive average tasting pizza. Do yourself a favor, go across the street to Pizza Sola, your stomach and your wallet will thank you.

Try this for something new. We have been coming here since the opening, usually once a month. Usually about once a month. We bring our kids. They have high chairs and the restaurant is kind of loud so go with your kids but go early. The later diners may not be as tolerant of children. Any pizza is amazing. Not many reviewers have mentioned that Sonja and her staff buy and organic and local food, some of it from the very roof of the restaurant. Check it out when you pull into the parking lot – you can see the tops of tomato plants, etc. peeking over her rooftop. We order olives every time, the grilled caesar if they are serving it (best in Pittsburgh these days), and the FARRO SALAD is my favorite with avocados, tomatoes, cukes and a great dressing.

Salads are to die for. And so are the soups.

An exceptional pizza joint unlike most you find in Pittsburgh. Personal pizzas, selection varies with the season. It reminds me of Naples and Rome. The wine selection is exquisite. The chef is very creative. It’s what pizza should be.
