Undoubtedly some of the best authentic pizza in Pittsburgh. These excellent thin-crust pies are sized for one, and could come straight off of a plaza in Florence or Rome. The menu is short, well considered and delicious. A favorite with the kids that will leave even serious foodies delighted as well; complimented by unfailingly gracious service. Very highly recommend.
We really enjoyed our Friday night meal at Dinette. They have a nice wine list, so we waited at a small bar with a glass of wine. Our meal began with grilled oysters with a pepper sauce and cilantro butter, quite succulent. We also shared a grilled Romano salad which was on the small side but delicious. For dinner we chose a prosciutto and arugula pizza – couldn’t stop eating it – and a trumpet mushroom pizza with walnut pesto. Hard to decide which one we loved more. When I saw neighboring tables get their pizzas I thought, oh, great, we will have some left for lunch tomorrow. The sad truth is it was so good, we devoured all but two slices. My hub and I each got an espresso and shared a rice pudding topped with fig and orange zest, a generous portion and nice balance of sweetness after the meal. We will certainly return.
