Not impressed. I had the lobster roll and it was dry and over cooked. 2 others had the gumbo and it was so salty that is was difficult to eat. Mentioned the gumbo to the waitress and she said others had mentioned that as well. No adjustment was made to the bill.
This small venue is one of the three best places for oysters in Pittsburgh. Excellent cocktails are rendered by an attentive and dedicated staff. The brunch is highly recommended. Menu highlights include BBQ shrimp & grits, and what is easily one of the best lobster rolls (fortified with crawfish) that you’ll ever eat.
Went for brunch. Really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. They have a great oyster selection and other fresh seafood, which can sometimes be difficult to find in Pgh. I will be back for $1 oyster happy hour.It is a little pricey. Will go back. Want to try some of the dinner options.
Myself and my husband and another couple went last night. I was so excited because I’ve been wanting to get there. I was on line researching the menu and decided on the gumbo. We get there the our waiter was very nice we order the lobster cocktail which was great! My friend and I order the gumbo because of what we saw online. We get our food and it looks nothing like the picture on line on THEIR menu. It looked like a puddle of mud and tasted like it too. There were tiny salad shrimp and fried oysters floating in it but we had to search. We called the waiter he called the chef and the chef said the pictures online are staged and not what they serve! I was so upset!! That’s the only you reason I came to your over priced establishment! They took back the wanna be gumbo and we’re order hot chicken it was good but the sides… not good! WILL NOT BE BACK!!!! Thanks for the big let down!!!
Their raw oysters were super delicious, we did the chef’s special and it did not disappoint! The staff was great too, really friendly and helpful! We’ll be back soon.
