We usually always have a good experience here. And I know why.The sushi chef.We get seated right in front of the same dude, and he makes this place awesome. Not only do you get to watch him make all these artful dishes, but if you’re nice (haha) he will make something unexpected and let you have a taste (delicious). The sushi has been really good lately, and I only have one other place in mind that I like better, but this place has its perks. For sure.
If you havent noticed yet, #sushisunday is a thing. Jk i just created it but I like it hehe. Anyways I went to plum to get lunch with my friend. Im literally broke rn, using my Korean emergency credit card bc back to school means so many reunion brunch/lunch/dinner. So even tho Im broke, I hope somehow I would find $100 bill in my old jeans pocket (i wont bc i never carry cash w me) and still eat out. I came here couple times but thats before #fathyEats started. This time, I got Angel Roll and Chicken Satay. Bc one roll isnt enough for a hangry girl. It didnt take that long for our food to come out. Thank god bc I was about to swim to Japan and catch a fish and make my own sushi. Food was great. I finished everything. I cried a bit when the bill came out but oh whateves. We still gotta eat, right? Good ambience, nice staffs. Please check out if you like japanese food!! 🙂
Beware. I went to the restaurant with a friend and made the mistake of leaving my credit card behind – the waitress apparently had embedded it in the pocket, so I did not notice it when I signed my slip. As I did not use the credit for two days, by the time I realized, someone at the restaurant had stolen teh card and used it to make purchases at Target, Starbucks, GNC, Walgreen, all the stores right around this restaurant. He ran up so many charges, the credit card company had frozen the card. When I called the resaturant, one person who answered the phone told me that they suspected somone was doing this in the restaurant, but they were not sure who it was. I asked to speak to the manager that was on duty that night, and when I did speak to him, he was effusively apologetic that something like this could happen in his store. AS he was the one closing up the register that night and the women I talked to told me that if the card was not returned that same day, the manager would put it in the cash register! I will never return to this restaurant again – they have a thief working in the restaurant.
Best Customer Service and Great Food. Great Pan Asian food. Had to order a takeout for 11 people to pick up at 5 pm, atlhough the kitchen would have been closed at that time, they were very accomodating and made me the dinner. Everyone loved the food. Love this place and will definitely be going back.
Sushi was good.. Marilyn Mon Roll. The service wasnt great
A hidden treasure. Finally got a chance to eat at Plum Pan-Asian Kitchen. Looks small from the outside but is large and has a contemporary flair on the inside. I have been vegan for about a year and was very excited to see the MANY choices on the menu that I could eat and was also pleased that the chef was willing to change other menu items to accommodate me. I have to say that Plum has the very BEST spring rolls that I have ever tasted, fresh, loose and very savory. There was no wait on a weekend night. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was very accommodating. As I say, this is a hidden gem.
Excellent sushi! Definitely some of the best in the city and worth the price. I ordered the Chili Shrimp dish and it was outstanding! The shrimp were perfectly cooked and seasoned, veggies still a little crisp and not overly cooked. Very large portion for the price as well. Beautiful decor and a nice upscale atmosphere that usually isn’t found in Asian restaurants. The service was exceptional and quick even though it was a very busy Friday night. Can’t wait to go back!
