OUTSTANDING!!! GEM!!!. My wife and I were completely WOW’ed by our dinner at Ella’s tonight. We were warmly greeted by a myriad of folks upon entering and were seated at a lovely table in the smaller dining room just off the main room. Our server Jared was professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. He guided us through our dining experience and took great care of us. To start, we shared the roasted beet salad (excellent) and the octopus salad. Normally wouldn’t get two salads but we couldn’t resist either of these. Both were wonderful. For the main course my wife had the scallops special (big, juicy, quite flavorful scallops) and I had the bone-in pork chop (amazing flavor combinations and the chop itself was large, cooked to my liking, and juicy as can be.) Our dinner paired well with the wine offerings too. We had the chocolate/peanut butter mousse cake and fruit cobbler for dessert – both were out of this world!! I can’t say enough good things about Ella’s Bistro – it is a must try, you won’t be disappointed, the menu offerings are creative, fresh, extensive, and appealing and the staff worked hard to ensure we had a positive experience. The Manager(s) stopped by our table to make sure everything was in order- We appreciated that. It was a busy Saturday night – we made a reservation and we’re glad we did! We will definitely be back soon and will bring friends/family! We love Ella’s!!! Thanks Jared & co.!!
Excellent dining experience this weekend at Ella’s American Bistro in Devon, PA. My wife and i were delighted by the ambiance and decor of the place and the many tasty selections on the menu. We started with the butternut squash soup and wild boar belly appetizers- both were fantastic! For entrees she had the bone in pork chop – cooked medium and i had the Wagyu sirloin special. We were quite pleased and look forward to trying more from the menu next time ( we will be back very soon!). Our waiter was friendly, helpful, attentive and helped us select our meal choices – his recommendations and insight was spot on! It was a busy night but overall our experience was a positive one!! We’ll be back soon!! What a lovely meal!!
Casual elegance. My boyfriend and I decided to venture to the mainline for dinner at Ella’s American Bistro based on a friends recommendation. I have to say that the atmosphere was quite pleasant. The bar was stunning with it’s Sycamore base and the dining room was truly casual elegance. We started our evening by sharing the scallops and the escargot, absolutely delicious and tender. I opted for the clams with buccatini and my boyfriend had the in house dry aged strip steak special. He swears it was one of the best steaks he has ever had. My dish was very well balanced and a nice play on your traditional linguine a la vongole. After our dinner we enjoyed a little live music in the bar area. I have to say the food was well thought out, service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was truly casually elegant. Just perfect!
Overpriced diner food.
Upscale comfort food at its finest. Wonderful interior and feeling- beautifully decorated- had a sampling of most of the menu- everything was outstanding! Mini crab cakes, fried chicken, lobster mac, and amazing chocolate mousse!
