Not going back!. This place was awful. Went due to the livingsocial deal, will not be back. I won’t even start with the issues of the place not feeling very clean, and will just focus on the food. We went at breakfast, and ordered waffles because my son was so excited to see them on the very small menu. Then the waitress informed us that they don’t have a waffle maker. huh?? So, we ordered some bagel sandwiches, pancakes, and a cream cheese bagel. The bagels were the smallest, hardest, most ridiculous excuse for a bagel I’ve ever seen. Then they burned them. Then the contents inside the sandwich just weren’t good. The pancakes were rubbery. They overcharged me the difference between the voucher and the total by 40%, and we walked out, only having eaten three bites across the breakfast. The manager didn’t even consider not charging us, I guess when you believe someone is so dissatisfied that they won’t be back, you just say screw it and get everything you can from them. Well, bad move. We’re big foodies, and talk to many about the good, the bad, and the ugly. You can guess which two categories this one fell into for us.
Best Cheese Steaks in the Area. Really! No kidding! I’ve tried a lot of steak joints. This has the best steaks outside Center City and South Philly. Hands down. Otherwise, a friendly, neighborhood sandwich place with good deli fare. The place is a bit dark and can get crowded at lunchtime. Nice selection of beer in six packs and prices are not too bad.
