Garbage Pizzeria. Surly counterperson overcharged me and barked at me when I called her on it. Not a place I will ever go to again. Food is garbage, greasy cheesesteak on a stale roll.
Pizza is ok, nothing special. they used canned mushrooms??? that’s a 80’s pizza place thing, get with the times. it may be acceptable down in Sea Ise for drunks. not so much on the mainline.
Great Pizza Place. We have been going to Phil’s since they opened here. We have always had great food and service with no rudeness whatsoever…we’ve been regulars for a long time and they know us by name. One time…I thought my husband paid and I guess he thought I paid, our kids were little and cranky and we left without paying accidentally. The next time we were there, Phil politely reminded us and we squared up with him. Not a big deal. They’re still nice to us.
Phailure. The cheesesteak is pretty good at Phil’s, but the pizza in no way resembles the excellent pies I got from the original Phil’s in Sea Isle City long ago. This is your cookie-cutter pizza, tastes like a Sysco crust. Our pie was badly undercooked, wet and sloppy with the cheese sliding off. Not better than Freschetta. mainlinepizzaquest.blogspot.com
DELICIOUS pizza and steaks!
Food and Value Trumps All!. The food is FANTASTIC! From the pizza to the steaks to the hoagies to the pasta. My family has tried it all, and loved every bite. What people don’t seem to understand is that they’re BUSY. Friday nights are a zoo, so if you want more attention, some gratitude, then don’t come during their busy times and for heaven’s sake, know what you want! I’ve overheard customers over the years take too much time to order, or want their food a certain special way. To be honest, it would even make me cranky. I go for the food and the value. I appreciate all the years I’ve gone to Phil’s, regardless as to whether or not I get a smile or not! You can go to Berwyn Pizza…for inferior food.
Great pizza, awful service. I live right around the corner from Phil’s, and I used to be very loyal to them. They make great pizza, but the older man there, I am assuming that he is Phil, is a bitter unpleasant man. They are rude to me on the phone, and unpleasant in person. Phil’s attitude spreads throughout many of the other employees. Try Berwyn pizza down the road, where the food is just as good, and they treat their customers with respect.
