Review. My wife and I visited the Calamari’s on state street in Erie, PA. The service was absolutely terrible. We arrived at approximately 8:10pm and our server arrived promptly, however, we ordered appetizers which took until 9:15pm to arrive. In addition to that, they arrived with our entree’s. When we spoke of our dissatisfaction of the timeliness of our food with the server, she brought in the manager. We readdressed our concerns with him and he declared that we were not actually waiting as long as we said because the server entered in our order at 9:20pm. The manager declared that we were lying in the amount of time in which we were waiting. After long dispute we said that we would pay the bill, yet we would be in touch with the owner. The manager challenged that he knew the owner too, so he would be in contact also.Bottom line… If you desire good service and an enjoyable meal, DO NOT come to Calamari’s on state street in Erie, PA. The service is horrible, and management has proven that the customer IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT. Customer service is clearly not a virtue in this establishment. I would highly recommend other venues if in the Erie region.
What ever Sara ….there is no ping pong tables in this place on the second level … Plus we don’t need custermers like you …your cheap and complain abouteverything . The cue ball should hit you in your head… maybe.you will know how to tip ….and how not to tell lies ….liar
Love the decor, service was excellent, food was out of this world! Will definetly dine again when going through Erie.
One of my favorite places. One of my favorite places in Erie. Food and beer are great. Jay, Marcie and Renee do a wonderful job! Their catering is great also!
One of the better downtown eateries, I frequent this place for a tasty lunch, especially on Sundays and Mondays when most of the locally owned joints are closed. They make a great bloody Mary, have a pretty good selection of drafts and they serve taters tots. Who doesn’t love tater tots? I’m always pleased with my meal whether its a deep fried super basket when I’m hungover or a beautiful piece of freshly grilled fish on the patio for an evening dinner. Something for everyone and the patio is quite lovely in the summertime.
Excellent stop through PA. Worth the drive off the Interstate.
This was one of my favorite places to go in Erie. Today, while I was waiting for my food, I was hit by a ping pong ball followed by a cue ball from children playing in the upper area. Luckily the cue ball hit my leg and not my head. The children’s parents, waitress, and manager did not even bother to apologize for this. I won’t be returning.
